    My Father And I.

My father and I both love Calvin and Hobbes. We would share the strips together. It is one of my fondest memories. I am getting the Complete Calvin and Hobbes for him as gift. I'd like to thank Bill Watterson for creating such an imaginative and well crafted world. I'd also like...

I grew up reading Calvin & Hobbes in the paper.

I spent allowances on the trade paper back collections. I still own the hard cover oversized complete collection. I even saved the final ***** from The Washington Post and had it framed.. although that is one of my most missed items as I don't have it anymore. Nothing would...

The Fearless And Foolish Younger Me Whose Best Friend(s) Was His Own Imagination

I am sure i can't be the only one, but when i first read the comic about a boy and his best friend who was his stuffed tiger brought to life with his imagination, I was captivated. In some ways, it was like looking back on memories of my childhood, the good parts. My kid-dom...

    To Bill

During my childhood I loved to read comics.. when reading books I've always felt that the material had to be associated with a picture by it's side.. I sort of felt then I would have see figures of.. representations of real people.. and get a small emotional connection to them...

    Still........

Brings a tear to my eye when I read this. On the worst day of my life. The day I knew I was reading the last "Calvin and Hobbes", Bill Watterson imagined this.  How can you not love the man?

    The Greatest

Calvin and Hobbes was great on so many levels. It was deep. It was funny. It was sheer chaos. It was never stale. I think its short run adds to the appeal of the *****. He quit when he felt it was time. A few years ago my local paper started printing some old strips. I was...

    I Really Respect Bill Watterson
