This Comic Was One Of A Kind

Back when I was a little kid, I used to love opening the comics section and reading Calvin and Hobbes. Point blank, there wasn't another comic ***** like this out there.  The vast majority of the comic had me laughing out loud.  The ***** captured that childhood...

    Still........

Brings a tear to my eye when I read this. On the worst day of my life. The day I knew I was reading the last "Calvin and Hobbes", Bill Watterson imagined this.  How can you not love the man?

    The Trickery Of Calvin

Calvin and Hobbes is hands down one of the best comics ever. Calvin proved you only need your best stuffed friend and imagination to have a wonderful adventure. Bill Watterson was a very underrated writer and artist. When I read these as a kid, I was always skeptical of the...

Probably one of the best cartoons!

When I was little I used to have a range of "imaginary" friends who would keep me company, each with their own quirky personality, guiding me, tutoring me, advising me, so I can quite relate to Calvin & Hobbes. It's much deeper than most people realize.

    It's The Best

I grew up reading the comic section from the news papers...with many different cartoons over the years. Some where along the way though, I stopped doing so. I don't recall reading Calvin and Hobbs in the papers. Nor do I remember exactly when I started, but I think it was my...

    One Of The Best

Calvin and Hobbes was one of the best ever comics. I loved the way it was drawn and the humor in it. Calvin was right on as a boy yet evry adult could relate to him. I love the faces they make.Too bad Bill Watterson decide to give it up. I think he was tired of the business...

    Wow,just Wow

I really don't care for comic strips mainly because most of the stuff that was in the papers were boring and unfunny. That all changed when a friend if mine brought a collection of Calvin and Hobbes(forgot the title) but it was all that was needed to make me a fan. The...

The Fearless And Foolish Younger Me Whose Best Friend(s) Was His Own Imagination

I am sure i can't be the only one, but when i first read the comic about a boy and his best friend who was his stuffed tiger brought to life with his imagination, I was captivated. In some ways, it was like looking back on memories of my childhood, the good parts. My kid-dom...

I grew up reading Calvin & Hobbes in the paper.

    I Really Respect Bill Watterson

Bill did all the things that authors/artists should do with their creations. Let's make a short checklist. He fought against turning Calvin and Hobbes into a brand or having any merchandising at all for his characters.  His reasoning was that he felt it would cheapen them...
