    Oh Canada!

I absolutely, positively, totally, and completely LOVE Canada. I am from the U.S., but I wish I was from Canada... The U.S. has so many issues, but Canada is kind of just hanging out... Sure it's got it's problems, but at least it's not involved in ridiculous wars.. or is...

    It Was Like "Coming Home"

The first time I visited Canada it was like I had come home!  I would have stayed there, right there and then.  Since then, I've had this love for that country and have always thought that it is there where I will end my days.

    Moving to the States...

Well, sort of. I'm leaving the Yukon and taking a new position in Alaska. And, that IS leaving beloved Canada and moving to Alaska - which is the US....sort of. Most Yanks don't have a clue about Alaska("where are the penguins?"). And, I've lived here before, so it's...

SO MUCH. The people. The towns.

The freedom. My brother is a soldier. I was in the Army Reserves. My son is joining Air Cadets! People who hate Canada don't deserve it's beauty. Replace them with grateful people please! I have traveled from Quebec to Vancouver! I hope to go Quebec to Newfoundland (:

    While it may be inappropriate

for someone in the US to express an opinion about an election in Canada, I am glad that the PQ lost the Quebec provincial election. Hopefully, that will put Quebec separatism to rest for a substantial time. I think that it would be difficult for Canada to survive as a nation...

    Canada Is Good

I am a Canadian and I like the scenery.  Most people in Canada are nice but not everyone.  I have come across some that are so bad that you could call them demons.   I don't want to dwell on them.    Some places in Canada are too warm and some places are too cold.    I...

I'm US and live in Ohio (although I minored in

Canadian Studies way back in undergrad). Anyway, I was listening to a Calgary station and heard Calgary referred to as "Middle Canada." That is a new term to me, and I can't see Alberta as "middle" geographically or politically.

My father is originally from Canada.

Then he remarried and moved back to Vancouver from Montana. I used to visit him and his family a lot growing up. At ten, I was flying on a plane by myself. I've also been to Alberta, Ottawa and Montreal. Alberta has natural beauty, especially in the fall. I think Canada has...
