    There's something death-defying about it.

I'm already a music enthusiast and a passionate lover of foreign arts (especially ancient relics)...and what better than listening to having a cup of hot tea, looking up at the sky, watching the clouds spell out what moves to make and at what pace to make them in (or at the sun...

    Molly's Revenge

I went to a Celtic concert last night where a local band, Molly's Revenge, was playing.  They were sensational.  At one point, two young boys, 11 or 12 years old, came on playing bagpipes and fiddle.  The adult piper clearly enjoyed his work.  He danced around...

    Boney Swan

There's just something about the sound of celtic music that puts my soul, my mind at ease.  It relaxes me, puts me where I need to be, closer to my center...and yet, strangely enough, also excites me.  Not in a sexual manner, but in a hunger manner.  I can just...

    Taming the Beast

I love Celtic music. I bought a CD once because of this absolutely gorgeous red-head on the cover. (Sorry, got a thing for 'em) Anyway I would listen to it for hours (or until my wife started complaining). A lot of times, when I had a hard day at work and I was feeling all...

    Maybe it's the bipolar

or any other psychological disorder I have, but when I'm at the gym, I work out to it; when I'm journaling, I write to it. Everyday I'm fighting myself and the messed up world we live in, so I need the motivation it supernaturally gives me to endure another day.

How I Got Into Celtic Music

I was watching PBS channel 11 when Celtic Woman came on, and it was the first time hearing it. I  thought it was so pretty, that after the cd and dvd came out, I went and bought it. After that, I bought all kinds of celtic music cds and dvds.

    Irish Sessions

Trying to think when I developed the love of celtic music. Some time in the dim past. One of first Irish groups were the Clancy Brothers. Also, attended a Chieftans concert. Probably biggest was going to a Sunday session, in Dublin, and Ennis on a trip to Ireland. On our first...

I don't know much about Celtic music,

or what's included in this genre, but I like what I've heard so far and could get into it. I really like Donal Lunny, Celtic folk music. Would be interested in suggestions for good things to listen to.

I love a lot of Celtic music, but my favorite is Enya. This music puts me in the mood for magicakal works and deep meditation. And it makes me happy too, just like any of my metal songs. lol. My ipod is full of Enya and some works of other artists too. :-D

    I Love The Bounce

I really enjoy the reels and jigs the most but the ballads are wonderful too. I prefer the deeper male voices (that's true of most music I like) but the tinkling, higher voices of the women can be a nice thing too. I don't speak any Gaelic so I don't understand some songs...

I didn't always like it. I never did dislike it.  Several years back I saw a Japanese band that was combining Irish or Celtic type music with punk and it was pretty cool.  Later I decided to poke around on YouTube for Irish music and Celtic music and I found that I really was...
