I Love Classic Cars

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 1,392 People

There are so many great cars from years past,

    for me a couple of my favorites would be a 57 Chevy Bel Air, or a 69 Old's 442,maybe a Plymouth Roadrunner with a 426 hemi,or how about a 1971 Mustang with a 429 cobra jet,and the list goes on. :):) :)

If I could I would buy a fully restored 1978

Pontiac Trans Am with t tops. Black with silver paint. I and Zack Wylde would fly into outer space and start a new society in which there is no Facebook, no one has to go to work, and we go to concerts every night. Dream, dream, dream....

    VAUXHALL CRESTA (PA Series,

1958-1962). I owned one of these - a 1962 example - once, buying it while still a teenager and keeping it for many years. The model changed during its production run, acquiring a larger engine, disc brakes and transmission options in its later versions, along with a number of...

    I absolutely love classic cars.

I grew up going to car shows. In my child hood I spent every weekend at a car show or at the local drag *****. My grandpa owned a 1971 Chevy Nova that he dragged race. It was a beautiful piece of machine. The same grandfather and my dad, both owned 1966 Chevy Impalas. With that...

I am only 17 years old

but I love cars that are probably older than me. I would rather drive a BMW 507 coupe or a Chevy Corvette Z-06 rather than a brand new Prius or Civic or any of that horrible crap. Right now my dream car is a 1960's Shelby Cobra. Gotta go and save up...

    Friends For Life?

Oh yes! My beetle and I have been together since 1998. We've done some miles together. Seen a lot. He's my third beetle. They were a 1976 and 1973. Long gone but still great memories. Fully original and in need of a bit of a service. I keep him in the garage for now. If you don't...

    My Childhood Through Cars

Being born in 1965 I grew up in the muscle car era, days when a rowdy little boy could stand on the "hump" and hold onto the headrests from the back seat and watch the world come through the windshield. I remember the summers with no A/C, windows down blowing my "summer blonde...

    I Love Cars

From childhood, I have always had a fascination with cars, trucks and buses. Any make and any model, is fine with me. Although I do not have a car of my own, I have to admit that I like drawing them.

The cars and the car culture of the 1960's.

Never anything like it before nor since. Modern cars are safer and maybe better, but the car culture that was then will never be again. When the big 3 automakers all supported auto racing, and believed in that sales saying "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday." The classic cars of...

which I spent alot of money converting into a cooper 'replica'. It might of been wiser to just get a cooper at the time but It pretty much taught me how to maintain, fix and build a car. Also helped the City was basically a rusty shell and donated for free:D I miss my baby...

    STUDEBAKER AVANTI (1963/1964).

(YT clip here). A resolutely modern car for its era, as the name implies. What they did here was create a kind of European GT, only made in the USA. It combined clean lines and respectable performance with nearly 300bhp on tap, and what's more, it wasn't big and unwieldy.
