Well nine days away from a major cycling goal

for the year, my double century. I did one a few years back and for some reason I am back for more. I am riding in RAIN this year again, the ride across Indiana and then I am tacking out 40 extra miles for 200. I feel pretty strong right now, done my training, but you never...

    That Time Of Year Again

Well it's that time of year again. This morning I finally rode in just shorts and a jersey, darn it's been a cold spring. Time for some goals this year. 5000 miles, 10 centuries, back to back to back century days, and a double century. Maybe I need to bump up my number of...

    Pedal, Pedal, Pedal!

My mom and dad have a bicycle store and they're racers too. When I was little I was in the store a lot, and now I help them sometimes. I'm not a racer but we go cycling together a lot and it's fun and I can do it by myself sometimes. I think cycling is fun but it's important too...

Tomorrow I'll go to work again.

Not the best job ever and not the best time at the company too. Actually the day is expected to be pretty horrible. But I will cycle to work. One hour in the morning. Then one hour cycling home. That makes up for it.

    Cycling Is Freedom

Freedom from worry. Freedom from fat. Freedom from depression. Freedom from boredom. Freedom from sloth. Freedom from the world. There's something about cycling that is truly amazing. There's something about being able to get on your bike and ride 50, 80, 100 km and more under...

2nd time back on a bike this past weekend

since early June when I did a ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. This weekend was for the Canary Challenge. 75 miles and 6800 ft of elevation gain. Was worried at first that I would have been too out of shape after an almost 4 month break from cycling, but I did fairly well...

I have a trail bike. I love going out on my

bike. There are a few cycle paths. One goes along the coast. Another goes along an old railway line up to a coal mine that closed down. Its really steep! I don't know how the trains got up there. But it's nice coming back! I usually go for the day and take a picnic.

in the middle of a hard interval, you pass a cyclist and they wave, you almost always give a wave back, but this time you didn't notice soon enough. can you give a delayed wave he or she won't see?
