    My Childhood Memories

I think, Deep Purple was (besides of the Led Zeppelin) one of first more serious groups, I started to listen. Their "Smoke On The Water" took me over and since then I am their fan.

    Classic Rock Addiction!!!

The song that really made Deep Purple famous is not my favorite song, and it doesn't even make it into my top list of songs for the group.  Of course that is Smoke on the Water. The songs that got me addicted to DP would be STRANGE KIND OF WOMAN, CHILD IN TIME, BLACK KNIGHT...

    Great , Great Band !

Amazing really, since '68 Deep Purple have been a going concern....ok, from '76 until '84 they weren't a going concern, but with Richie Blackmoore and Roger Glover in Rainbow, David Coverdale, Ian Paice (for a spell) and Jon Lord in Whitesnake, and the simply wonderful Ian Gillan...
