I Love Films

You love films, I love films, we all love films, yey! 1,315 People

Mostly. I hated the 2002 film Insomnia,

even though it was directed by Christopher Nolan. Mainly I was offended (OFFENDED!) by changes to the 1997 Norwegian original starring Stellen Skarsgard. In the Norwegian version, the main character was a morally ambiguous character-- an anti-hero with complex and sometimes...

Why can't I really like the movies of

Michelangelo Antonioni? I thought the Passenger was barely watchable. Interesting in its way, with a very impactful ending, but ultimately unsatisfying as a film. L'Avventura's plot was best summed up for me by a friend, who said: "Look, if you were stuck in an Antonioni film...

Just went to see Mission Impossible: Rouge

Nation. Absolute let down, the film dragged on and there was too much happening. Storyline was decent, acting was pretty good, Simon Pegg was fantastic as usual. Overall: 5/10

    Did anyone watch Black Dynamite?

I had such a good laugh watching it. It's a parody on the 70's action cinema. Here's a trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96Y24a0cyCE

Spring Breakers - Review from IMBD I love

this film. It is a great film. "I don't even know where to begin... Harmony Korine is a true artist. That might be where to start, because everyone seems to diss this film and its director, and I'm here to disagree. He kept his style, and that's why I loved it! Most people who...

On the brink of QT's 8th film releasing the end of this year (The H8tful Eight), I've pretty much been on a QT movie marathon since discovering the trailer. Really excited for this one as it looks great as per usual, performances from go to's Samuel J, Roth, Madsen, and from...

Sean of the Dead It is clear to anyone

I'm thinking now of "the Tao of Steve",

about a lothario philosophy grad and underachiever. He has developed a philosophy for picking up women ("be aloof, be excellent, be gone") based on the "five Steves". Number one is Steve McQueen, naturally, and Steve Austin also makes the list. Anyway, the line from the movie...
