    They Light Up!!!

Fireflies are the most amazing animal.  They light up, which is just crazy.  They remind me of beautiful summer nights in Arkansas.  I wish you could find them everywhere, but then they wouldn't be special now would they.

    Fond Childhood Memories

Although I don't live in a part of the country that has fireflies, I remember chasing them in a park at dusk. I especially remember the colors - the darkening sky, the flickering fireflies, and the green grass. I never caught them, though.

I remember sitting with my paw paw on some dock

in the swamp. He said the fireflies lit up so you could tell which one farted. I I was about six then but I still grin when I think about it

I've always wanted to see fireflies,

but I can't seem to find them. I still look around every early summer for some, but it's always in vain. I hope I get a chance to catch one sometime.

When I was a kid growing up in Missouri we

called them Lightening Bugs, but by which ever name you know them best, they are one of the most amazing things to experience, young or old! You just never get tired of them!

They're beautiful. They use their lights to

attract mates and to fool fireflies of other species to attract and then eat them. I hope one day to see the fireflies that flash synchronously. I can't imagine what a beautiful sight that must be.

Flies are vile, they are nasty, that's why I call them glowbugs. Flies, they like poop and they like to land on me and vomit and that is not cool, just like I tell my friends, if you puke on me... But glowbugs are totally cool!
