I Love Flying

My Hobby, My Career, And My Passion

Flying is a huge part of my life, and my families. I had my first flight in a small plane (Piper Seneca) when i was two weeks old and have flown regularly ever since. In the past few years i started taking flying lessons and ground school courses. Although i fly regularly, every...

    Thrill Of Aerobatics

I'm not a pilot, just a "Wanta-be". My dentist often would pick me up and share the joy and freedom flying provides. When he had his craft rebuilt for aerobatics I was one of the first to get a ride. First I was fitted with a chute. Oh Boy, what had I gotten myself into. If I...

I've been a pilot for three years now

and I've got to share this with somebody, its amazing. I'd urge anyone out there who can and is willing, to give it a shot... Unless you're scared of heights, then it won't be a good idea.

    What Should I Do?

I love flying, since you have time to do some things that you just wouldn't do if you where at home. Like coloring and all that child-like stuff. DO you have any suggestions on what i could do while i'm in the airplane?

I wish I had the means to keep flying.

Years ago I got private pilots license but the costs of rentals got to be to much for me. But overall I am glad to have earned my license and have the opportunity to take my dad for a few flights. I could never talk my mom into going up, but sharing that with my father is one of...

    I do enjoy the speed

and efficiency of flying, but those delays are the death of me. What was supposed to be just over an hour of flying turned into a nearly six-hour ordeal. I could have just driven. But at least I am home :)

    Miss It Bad

I started flying 10 years ago when I was 17 and then joined the Air Force. I flew Cessnas, the best time of my life is when I soloed on my mom's birthday July 18th. It was the best feeling in the world that only I experienced. Being in the plane by myself, knowing...

In another life, I'd a been one of these guys.

My dad was a fighter pilot, and I loved what he did. But, I needed glasses, and that dream was gone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSCdvj4tAFg

    42' Stearman

My Dad loved airplanes even though he never did get to fly. We visited our Grandparents in Sturbridge Mass when I was 12 (1968) and Dad took my 10 yr old brother and I to the local airport. He sent us up (one at a time) in a 42' Stearman. Every second of that 15 minute flight is...

    Pilots Are Pioneers

I remember my first solo flight. The thrill of the quick lift off from the ground with a lighter craft due to the instructor left behind and leaving one fewer body inside the cockpit. The thrill of looking outside at the wheels no longer touching the ground and the realization...

    Atp Flight School Florida

I'm thinking of advancing my private pilots license into a commercial license. I've checked into ATP and wondering if I should move to Florida and spend 50k for three months of flight training

    Choke Up Every Time

It doesn't matter how much I fly I never get sick of a take off or landing. Take off especially. I play my flying song on my iPod (hidden from the flight attendants) and stare out the window (I always have the window). I always get choked up when I fly over my beautiful city and...

    I Loved Flying Sailplanes

Airplanes and flying run in both sides of my family.  My father studied aeronautical engineering, but had to quit after he had kids, though he built, designed and flew model airplanes for sixty years, up until the day that he died. Oddly, he was scared of flying.  A...
