My comfort foods are the ones I grew up on,

the dishes my grandmother and my mom made. It's also the way I learned how to cook. I remember sitting in my grandmother's kitchen and watching her prepare dinner. She never measured anything, never broke a sweat, never looked flustered and somehow in no time the table would...

    Boudin

Before I even got to go to the South I was hooked on the idea of boudin sausage. I can't get it where I am, up here in the PNW ... at least not the real kind in the casing ... so I make my own. I wish it could be found at local markets and gas stations like in the south. Spicy...

    Mmmmm. Yum.

Southern cooking has to be one of the best things ever. Period. Chicken & Dumplings, Fresh veggies picked straight from the garden, biscuits & gravy, country ham, bacon, blackberry cobbler, pintos & hoecakes.... I could go on for days.
