    Writing A Short Story...

I am so much in love with Greek Mythology, that I believe I might get my PhD teaching it. That's just a little back story how much I love the Mythology. Anyways, I figured I'd try to write a short story, because in my mind, there is no reason that Greek Mythology has to remain to...

    This should be entitled.

.. The birth of Pleasure!Psyche was one of three sisters, princesses in a Grecian kingdom. All three were beautiful, but Psyche was the most beautiful. Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, heard about Psyche and her sisters and was jealous of all the attention people paid...

Ever since I was a little kid I've loved Greek

Mythology. The stories, the heroics, the tragedies. Hercules overcame adversity, depression, etc. He battled inner demons and proved that he wasn't that much different than humans. Apollo is my favorite Greek god. Zeus abused his power and was basically a rapist. (I hope I'm...

    Religious Belief

I honestly believe more in the greek gods then i do in "God" himself, there is a saying you can find "spoken by god himself" it saying "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God” (Exodus 20:4-5)". This pushes me towards the belief of...

    Jesus Means Hail Zeus?

I have recently been researching Ancient Greek gods and I've heard that all that was worshiped in those days were the gods and that Christianity did not exist. Reading into the gods and Zeus I found that he too was given a prophecy that says Zeus would bare a son after a daughter...

    Ever since I can remember,

I had a love for Greek Mythology. I remember borrowing a workbook from my 8th grade teacher on Mythology. Hercules(Kevin Sorbo) was a popular show on the air. We used to watch episodes in class. Zeus was probably and still is one of my favorite characters. Read snippets of Homer...

I had an insight while lecturing to my World

Literature class. One way of distinguishing between epics and earlier non-epics that are still stories about heroes is the emphasis in the epic on individuality and choice. My students wanted me to distinguish between GILGAMESH, which is not an epic, and THE ODYSSEY, which is...

but I find the study of the Greek and Roman myths to be fascinating, the level of detail in some of them. I think my favorite story so far is the one around the Trojan War and Helen of Troy, the "Face that launched a thousand ships." Of course maybe that's cause of the romantic...
