I Love Guacamole

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 211 People

I have an unhealthy obsession with guacamole.

It is one of my favorite foods to add to almost any dish. I use guacamole often when eating but currently I'm taking it to a new extreme. Around once a year I go through what I call avocado fever. Throughout the year I use avocado and guacamole with the basics like tacos...

My brother makes terrific guacamole, with cillantro and bacon and jalapeños. It's ******* fantastic. I'll eat it plain, with cracker, with chips, put it on a cheeseburger... Avocados get eaten quick at my house even if it isn't as guacamole.

    I Made Some Guacamole Today

I really miss the SLIM cados, Avocados from California; they made the BEST guacamole. I only find the Hass where I live now and I miss these "less fatty" avocados...nonetheless, I made more guacamole and it turned out wonderful as usual. I LOVE to use FRESH ORGANIC CILANTRO...it...

    Everything Goes In It

I used to make it the regular way with just avocados, tomatoes, jalapenos, onions, juice, cilantro, salt and pepper but once I started dating a vegetarian I started experimenting more.  I have adopted her recipe.  Now, when I make guacamole I throw everything in it.  In...

    No Foam and No Watered-down

I can't stand when you get guacamole and it looks a bit foamy on tip cause it's been whipped to make it fluffy and appear to be more than it really is.  Large chunks of things like oniions or tomatoes make it hard to whip so you get shortchanged on quality ingredients as...

    AUTHENTIC Guacamole Recipe

This recipe I learned in Madrid off my friend Jorge who is from Mérida in Yucatán. The Yucatán peninsula was the ancient home to the Mayans, and the Mayan cuisine is spicy and with complex flavours. They are masters of spices, and create dishes with chocolate and chilli...

    I Make Killer Gauc!

I love to make homemade guacamole and it is far better than eating some "guacmamole dip" crap out of a tub. You have to get good avacadoes and be picky about your ingredients! It isn't cheap but it IS good!!! I have found it to be a very tasty (and healthier...

are great all by themselves...I like 'em in salads and rice, but especially in guacamole! You can buy it ready made in the market, but better by far is homemade. It's not hard to make, and is much cheaper and fresher than jarred brands. Mash the green pulp with a fork and add...

    Multiple Ways...

Nothing like fresh quacamole. Simply avacado (mashed, but still small chunks left), fresh lime juice, seasaoning salt, crushed garlic, diced seeded tomatos... add some bacon for something different or chilli pepper, and I can snack away with some salty corn chips.
