done that and is a deep thinker:Though what I am about to write may seem obvious to those who 'get it,' there comes a time in one's life where it dawns on you that life is not about material goods, petty drama over things that don't matter, and the insignificant things that send...

    It's not so long ago,

I use to write letters to friends here and there until they stopped answering. I missed those days. I miss those experiences. Each one of those letters were unique. With much more enthusiasm this time from myself, anyone would like to have a correspondent?

Do kids these days still write each other

letters in school? Or is it all texting? I'm 28, I didn't even text until long after high school, so I still have this giant box of letters dating back to 1999 or earlier. I'm sad for the new generation, they may never know what it's like to exchange notes with a crush before...

To take the time to sit down and write a letter is not something I have done lately. To wait in anticipation of receiving a letter from someone, do any of us have the patience anymore? Wondering when the mail man will arrive. Tearing open that letter to see what's inside. Did...

I'm upset that long hand letters are such a dying thing now. We're in an age where everyone wants what they want RIGHT NOW. Everyone is always on the move and never has time to just sit and relax.. Wheres the pulse pounding excitement of waiting for something to come in the mail...

    Passing Notes In Class

I am a little bit of a technophobe. I have got to a stage in my life where I cannot fully use all the electronic appliances I own, and that offends my puritanical inner self. I have a "smart phone", but only because I was longing for an ice cream and signed everything placed in...

The best part of reading a handwritten letter

is understanding the tone - not by what is written, but how it is written. You can usually tell if someone was in a rush, if they were sitting and writing on a hard surface, or if they were in their car and using their leg to sign the last minute birthday card (we've all done...

If people wrote more of these,
