that it was my first meal in the oven and the meat is too done also the look is not great but it tastes good.
There are many varieties of paella in the net but I post here the one my father uses to cook.
To cook a paella we use a perol ( the one you can see in the pic above. In case you don't have one, you can use two pans)
- onion (a half)
- garlic ( three cloves)
Salad for today.
The easy recipe: potato, carrot, egg, mayonaise, tuna, olives and peas.
Surfing the net, I read another recipe with the same ingredients but they also add a little of chopped onion.
Have you ever add onion and did you like it?
I'm determined to be the best cook.
I finally got to make a decent Spanish omelette.
Last time I post about it I put a pic where I got a mishmash. :-)
I blamed the eggs or the potatoes quantity but the key was in the pan. I now have a pan only for omelette.
gazpacho. The following is the one from my community.
Andalucian gazpacho (It's a drink)
4 red and ripe tomatoes
1 green pepper and a piece of red pepper.
1 clove of garlic
extra virgin olive oil ( a small stream)
eat food from restaurants. Cooking my own is more fun, cheaper and just better. I know the conditions are clean the the ingredients are wholesome. I work nights and sometimes I will have a jones for something not available early in the morning. So I'll have a beer or glass...
- 500gr black beans (keep them in water through the night)
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 1 onion
- olive oil
- 3 or 4 cloves of garlic
- cumin (a bit)
1) cut the vegetables into small pieces and fry them lightly with olive oil in a pan...
I sometimes decorate with tuna instead of serrano ham.
And, to make the soup I use some boiled potatoes beside the bread to make it softer.
