    3 Things

Tire stores have a distinct smell that I've always loved, since I was just a small brat. Also love the smell of a coffee shop/expresso stand.  Third would be a bakery.

    Scent of the Past

I worked several years at a tourism site tucked in the mountains near a National Park. It felt remote but was easily accessible. I came to understand the beauty of my strength and explored my physical boundaries while I was there. It is one of the fondest places in my memory. All...

My favorite smells are old books and my dad's cologne.  Old books remind me of the really old books my parents used to read to my brother and me when we were little.  My dad's cologne reminds me of when he and Mom used to go out to dinner late at night and my grandma...

    Moth Ball Fiend

Moth balls and pear drops-that smell combined reminds me of being a six year old at my mum's after work, eating all the sweets and then coming across the moth balls, and Mum shouting in fright at me not to eat them. Nice smells are also my best friend's house for some reason ( I...

    Elm City Memories

Scents, at times, have a remarkable ability to bring vivid memories back to life.  Most times this happens by chance.  A whiff on the breeze of a very particular brand of paint thinner may carry one instantly to a moment in early childhood watching Dad paint the garage...
