I Love Iron Maiden

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 358 People

I will not say that I understand all their

songs, actually I haven't even heard most of their songs, because I have a lack of patience, but I try to hear new songs, and from what I've heard, I think I'll be motivated to listen to more.

Iron Maiden's Gonna Get You, No Matter How Far

I have been a fan of Iron Maiden since the mid eighties.   Their music called my attention first because I did not understood their lyrics.  It was not until the early nineties when I finally understood and I was not disappointed. Now I am a 40-year-old man for...

    I'm an Iron Maiden purist.

I think the greatest Maiden was the first 3 albums with Clive Burr on drums. Clive and Steve were just flawless together. I mean, musically they just lost the energy and tightness after Clive left. I stuck it out until Powerslave, and even forked over the cash for Somewhere in...

v=4zcQ-QWSKt4 This is the song "Empire of the Clouds". An 18 minute epic song about the fate of the airship vessel the R101. Truly a masterpiece by Bruce Dickinson. It's also their longest song to date. Typical of Iron Maiden, you're not just listening to a song. You're...

Clive Burr - Rest In Peace

Clive Burr, who played drums on Iron Maiden, Killers, and Number of the Beast passed away peacefully in his sleep March 12th. It's a sad day for heavy metal but many of his songs are still performed by the band and many consider The Number of the Beast to be the band's best...

      The Number of the Beast.

.. The devil merely represents division. The true definition of evil is to separate yourself from others. The number 6 is a weak number, 666 is incredibly weak. This type of music doesn't mean anything, really. If you take it seriously you're truly messed. It's entertainment! I...

    Who Is Eddie?

When someone mentions Eddie from Iron Maiden, which do you think of? Who is the most iconic, definitive Eddie? I think it's probably Piece of Mind era; specifically from The Trooper, but cyborg Ed from Somewhere in Time is definitely a close second.

Iron Maiden is by far my favorite British Metal

band. And I love them from all ages. From Paul Di'Anno to present day. My favorite song was always 2 Minutes to Midnight. I even had an alarm set on my phone to play the chorus of that song at 11:58 every night. That's definitely a conversation starter at the bar. lol

    Maiden England ...

1982, to be specific! I was about 12 when I discovered the delights of Iron Maiden; a formative age for any boy really. Funny, that magazines like Kerrang! used to term Iron Maiden a kind of 'boys own' metal band, like the books of yore, detailing action and adventure.....it was...
