    Electric Lady Land

Electric Lady Land is my favorite. There's not a song on that album that I don't like. I think this is his most fully realized recording. He started to stretch out his song more, and the songs had more interesting colors. The thing about Jimi was, he could come up with...

    Word Has It ....

That guitar playing hasn't really changed that much from when Jimi first laid down some serious fretboard action.....he's still the guidebook for playing guitar and performance..... But, as much as he was a groovy looking cat, with wild hair, great colourful clothes and pretty...

    Have You Ever Been Experienced?

I love his music.  I don't know if I could pick one song but I think "Are You Experienced" is still one of the very best albums ever.  It's been 40 years (or so) and it certainly stands the test of time.  I like it more now than ever and I've been...

Ever heard a track called "Third stone from the

sun?" It's very different to the obvious tracks you'll know. Quite jazzy! I've often wondered if this was a direction he might have gone into. Had he lived.

I was just watching Jimi Hendrix complete

Woodstock performance. It was a mind blowing experience. The playing was so good. Some of the books I've read suggested it was a bad performance but I thought the band was really tight. Too bad they never recorded a studio album.

    Hey Joe

Hands down, this is one of my favorite Hendrix songs ever. For some reason, this song stands out from the others. Whether it be the turbulent times we are facing, or those guitar riffs and background vocals. This song is a true classic!

I just watched the American Masters documentary

on Jimi Hendrix on PBS. Very powerful and I'm very glad they made it, because some of the people they interviewed may not be with us for much longer. The film is available on Blu-Ray and I recommend it. Bear in mind, this isn't a concert film and you don't see entire songs...

I am a HUGE fan of Jimi. My dad is too, so i grew up with a lot of his music. He really is just amazing. Words can't even describe. The sort of music you have to shut your eyes to, to really and truly appreciate. It takes me away. And i watched his performance at the...
