My favorite place in the whole city is the lake

near my granny's house! When I was a kid, me and my cousins would go there and talk about stupid little things (ghosts, toys, etc.) anyway a few weeks earlier I was just sitting there texting (pfff, i know right! -.-) and I just looked around, everything looked so different, so...

Sun and sand, sea and sky Breezes blow,

seagulls fly. On Lake ’s shore stand I. Waves roll up, and roll back down Flowy winds swirl around. The bright blue sky is where clouds abound. Looking across an expanse of blue A lovely, panoramic view. And quiet-the bliss of solitude. The sun is setting in the West The waves...

    Minnesota Life

I grew up on a lake and everything about was amazing. Many a nights I would sit at the end of my dock and just think. I always believed that the best lesson is learned only by ones self, and sitting on that dock is a perfect example of that. Although I must admit when my...

    Summer Pleasures

I live in an area with a lot of lakes within an hours drive.  Most are accessable from wood roads, and are owned by large paper companies, so that they are seldom busy and only a few have any cottage development. On one  lake, about a mile across,  I have ...

    I Really Enjoy Lakes

I hope to live on a lake someday.  Nice and quite, neighbors kinda far away.  A dock and a small sailboat.  Skinny dipping at night.  Sand or grass beach with shade trees.  Lounge chairs to read in in the day, maybe a hammock.  Picnic table.  Hot days for swimming.  Cool...

    Yes I Do

Lakes are a great place to spend some time. You can swim, fish, boat, canoe, kayak, jet ski, tube or what ever. The size of the lake determines what you can do but lakes are a great place to spend the day. The great lakes are like the ocean only no salt or sharks to deal with...

    A Wonderful Start

Deep gray so smooth it looks solid. The sun peeking over the mountain, scaring away the dark. The calm, the peace, the quiet only broken by the voices of the birds chirping, singing away the stress. The gentle rock of the boat, the soft lapping of the water, the splash of fish. A...

Just Breathe, Nothing Else Really Matters.

It was about 1:00 am. It had been a very humid hot day. Even at this late time of early morning, the warm moisture formed droplets over my body. Water dripping into my eyes. The lake was calm. The moon was almost full in the sky. Some of the brighter stars shining. I walked...

    Therapeutic Waters

I am lucky for I live near the Great Lakes and so many other inland lakes. When warm weather approaches, it becomes my great escape. The water calls to me, and like a magnet it draws me  forward.  I allow it to completely devour me as it fills me with its mighty strength. I...

    Good Moments

When i was a little girl i use to pretend that i was a fish in a big lake and that my mommy was gonna find me there. I always had good memories at a lake even if the rest of my life was crazy...the lakes were always good for me.

I just got back from visiting the lake.

I had the best time!! We went cannoning and flipped a few times, we went water skiing and all the lake activities. We explored the forests and had fun!! If I didn't message you back the last couple days, that's because I was busy and had no service.

    Amazing Summers

There's a lake in the country I'm from, called Issyk Kul. I go there with my family, or friend, every single summer. The meaning of Issyk Kul is hot lake. It got its name, because the water is really cool in the summer, and doesn't freeze in the winter. Refreshing!
