    Gotta Have My Own

I just bought a lilac bush. It is very small right now but I have great hopes that in a few years it will rise several feet high and be filled with beautiful and fragrant blossoms. It's blossoms will be the vibrant magenta pink as pictured above. I have always wanted a lilac...

    Lilac Trees...

We have had a lilac tree in my front yard as long as I can remember. The blooms would seem to burst out in big bundles of purple. The whole yard would smell wonderful fo a little while. It still is the first scent I think of when someone mentions spring.

They Remind Me Of My Grandma

    The Old-fashioned French Lilac

The lilacs are in bud, nearly ready to burst forth with sweet aroma that scents my entire backyard. The white one near the pond came from my grandmother's house where it grew by the quaint old tool shed and back fence. Many times she told me the story of how she had...

    For The Love Of Lilacs

Lilacs are precious to me. When I see or smell lilacs, I reminisce fondly of my mother. She adored lilacs. A small lilac bush was very much at home near on the border of our and our neighbor's properties. We would "share" the lilacs with them along with the rhododendrons.  One...

    Grandma

They were my grandma's favorite flower and I love the way they smell. We had a bush in our front yard growing up so we always had the smell wafting through the air every spring and summer. They are so pretty too. Just thinking about them and I can almost smell them now. I don't...
