    There are few things

as endearing and hypnotic! Sadly the sea is not at the bottom of my garden though. I have a "wave machine" which I imported from the U.S. Many years ago and it's really just a series of digitally re-mastered natural sounds on a digital loop. But I found, and still do, it to be...

I find listening to the ocean as the waves rush in to be very peaceful I love walking the beach in the summer. I will often stop, sit and watch the endless and rhythmic waves I find it extremely peaceful and soul soothing.

    The Sound Of Peace

there is nothing as peaceful as the lapping of the sea on the shore as the waves roll the shingle, many a summer as a child i lay with the sun on my face and the sound of the waves gently sending me to sleep, even on board the boat with the wind gusting and turning the sea into...

    Ocean Never Gives Up

I love to watch ocean waves. As I watch them I remember the saying...because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away.

    The Ocean

Life is a heartbeat. One after the next. The ocean is the Earths heartbeat. The two are existence.

    My Old Home

Where I used to live, we weren't near water, we were out in the country and there were woods near open fields. At night if the wind was blowing just right the sound of the wind through the woods across the way sounding just like ocean waves.  I used to like to stand outside at...

I am listening to them now.

They are so powerful. I love the sound of them crashing down against the beach. They help me to sleep!

The surf pounding on the shoreline is fantastic,

if its the tide coming in or surf crashing onto the rocky coast, its incredible and an experience of a lifetime. I only wish I could hear as well as see it more often!

    So Relaxing

I love it when you're on holiday and the first thing you hear when you wake up in the ocean waves. It's such a nice feeling, you just want to get up, go onto the balcony and watch the sea. I long to be back on holiday where I can sit by the sea for hours just listening to the...

I would love to go to the beach at the late

afternoon. When the moon will be full. I would love to just sit quietly in my thoughts as the night comes and watch the sun set.

Every day, my job takes me to the ocean. When it gets to be a struggle, I look around, take it all in and realize that nothing matters. The beauty around is 10X compared to what I do. I realize the significance of what I do is only small and smile the rest of the day.

    I miss the ocean waves,

each one tells a story and I listen. When I was a little girl,my time would be spent all day at the beach, content to be by myself, playing in tidal pools with creatures to discover. I love the ocean smells, crying seagulls and loud crashing waves. I never wanted to be anywhere...

    It makes me so sleepy.

I listen to them on you tube at night with my ear plugs in. I lay in my bed close my eyes and feel my body and mind drifting away in the waves.

Nothing like it. Instantly relaxes me.

I used to go to a small fishing port down in Cornwall for a few days every year. You could open the window in the bedroom just a little and hear the waves roll on to the beach just a couple of minutes walk from the front door! Don't know what it is but it works wonders for me.

Each wave that breaks upon my shore has come

from somewhere. It has travelled perhaps 1000km. Maybe more. Unnoticed. A ripple. If that. As it approaches the beach it lifts its head. It's top curls. It crashes down. It's energy spent. It travelled kilometres to do that. It's energy spent and gone. Are our lives like that?

    A Natural Meditation

I was always attracted to the beauty of that sound. It is silent, soothing and powerful.  I can sit on a beach and just get lost in watching the waves and listen to the music of the ocean.  It says nothing but is saying so much.
