I Love London

I love it. I keep discovering new things

and strolling around to get lost is so exciting. There is always something to smile at. People may appear to be not too friendly but just walk around and you will be surprised. The smaller shops have nice people and some passers by are also willing to help.

I Wish I Could Go Back

I spent 2.5 months in London. I worked there during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and of course the few weeks before and between them. Then I had to go home because the new semester started at the university. Those weeks were the best of my life even though sometimes I...

I studied abroad during college and lived there for six months, well actually just west of there in Buckinghamshire, it was fun and I absolutely loved it.

    The Grass Is Greener Here

I grew up in the South London/Kent suburbs and always felt something might be missing,I craved adventure so spent 6 years overseas doing what twenty-something's should do.Quite by accident on my return I ended up living in Peckham Rye and,to my surprise, feeling a lot more at home...

    I always hated London,

living in the close suburbs I dreaded trips into the city but my recent love of photography in the last 3 years has made me see things with a different perspective and London is so rich in history, culture and architecture that I love it and can't believe I ever thought...

I used to live in London.

It doesn't matter if you're broke as long as you have an Oyster card everything is good. I would sometimes go to every pret a manger shop to ask for free latte and they always give me one for free.

    London Dungeons: Sweeney Todd

You walk into a room with a row of hairdressing chairs, everyone takes a seat and you notice blood on the floor. In walks a woman shouting 'Sweeney, I've got 'em here for you!' and the lights suddenly go out! It's so pitch black you can't even see your hand in front of your face...

Ten years ago today, terrorists exploded bombs

on the London Underground and on a bus, murdering 52 innocent people. As well as committing these atrocious murders the bombs were designed to instill fear and terror into our hearts, but just as the Nazis failed to do sixty years earlier, they would never take away from us that...

It's my home town, born here, raised here and currently still living here. Although it does have its benefits and it's drawbacks, I couldn't see myself living anywhere else at this point in my life and I generally do believe that London is a great city.

    A Recent Discovery ...

    I love London, so much.

But it's starting to turn into a love-hate thing now. I don't see myself leaving this city any time in the near future. But sometimes, this city can make me feel quite claustrophobic. The population is so great and so dense that I feel like just another number. There are so many...

    London is a magical place

for me. Tonight I have drunk rather a lot, danced to the music of one of the best buskers I've ever heard (and entertained the local constabulary with my moves in the process!). And experienced the sugary delight of the M and M store on Leicester Square. Where else in the world...

    The Unexpected Welcome Home

    Some Thoughts About London

London has so many faces. When flying into London I love to sit on the right hand side and look outside the window. When flying in from the West you can see the best of all in a few minutes. I was flying in so many times, so I have learned to figure out where is what. Very...
