    Scares Me

I think it's mostly because of Anderson's story. But I love the adrenaline rush.

    Sounds of Nature

Love the sounds of nature. They greet me at every corner. Taking long walks in the woods is one of my most favorite things to do. Getting only two or three chances a year...but when I do...I spent two or three days camping...taking it all in. Clears my mind.

A Few Concerns For Nature Lovers

A few things to add to this: 1) The 42 year estimate for the Oil Crisis is based just on the current rate of consumption with today's population. But as everything is dependent on oil it will happen a lot sooner than that due to increasing demand of population growth. We add...

    Calming

For me, a long walk in the woods is all about the calm and serenity.  If i get stressed, or pissed, a walk takes it away. Where I live now is great for walking. There's a huge wooded area right down the road thats full of trails. So, i spend quite a bit of time down there...

    Maybe Not Walk...

I was in Washington D.C. for a couple weeks last summer.  One morning when I was running, I came upon this path that led into a large wooded area.  It was the best running path ever.  It was so peacefully in the morning and it was challenge but kept me sheltered...

    Serenity.

There is something so calming about walking in the woods... a deep serenity that cannot be found anywhere else. There is no better place in which to have long, meaningful conversations, whether it be with myself or with a companion. It is a safe haven, almost. Safe, away from my...

    Thank Goodness Summers Almost Here...

I miss taking those long strolls out in amongst the trees; the feel of being surrounded by life and nature. I had taken advantage of the nice weather we had here briefly, but with the temperatures going back up to comfort level I yearn to be embraced once again by our dear Mother...

    Carpet of Breaking Twigs

I escape to a local forest park, when the weather permits, at weekends.  I love the sound of chirping birds, and the way the trees extend upwards, providing a large umberella, sheltering all life living below.  It is somewhere that each season is intensified in colour...

Love the Serenty of the Woods.

I was lucky growing up in that I lived in a small town. My house was right next to a park which abutted the woods. There was a long winding trail with slow moving streams on either side. I used to take my dog for a walk every day down that trail. I've always wanted to hike...
