    My Neighbor Totoro

I showed my daughter this film when she was 5. I think it instilled a sense of wonder and beauty in her heart that hasn't dissipated yet.

    I ♥ Miyazaki Films!!!!!!

Simply put, some of my most favorite movies ever. Princess Mononoke has to be my ultimate favorite. Spirited Away is a close second, but the rest are hard to place. Ponyo or Totoro for 3rd? That's a hard choice.

    Your Opinion

What do you think makes Miyazaki's #1 fan? Do you think I would pass? Just a question I had, and I'd love YOUR opinion and answer to the question- and for it on THIS question, I'll friend you AND post on your whiteboard. Thanks! Kisses, Juliet

    The Whisper Of My Heart

I just watched Whisper of the Heart directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. This seemingly childish story made me laugh and squeal in expectation. I fell deeply in love with the characters, I acted like such a child seeing the animated people interact on the...

You Have No Idea How Much I Love Them :3

I was introduced to Hayao Miyazaki movies at 2 years old. My first movie was "My Neigbor Totoro" (1988). I loved that movie throughout my childhood and still do. My second Studio Ghibli movie was the well known, Spirited Away (2001 I believe?). I was seven. Anyways, since then...

    The Secret Of Kells

I just saw an animated film from Ireland called The Secret of Kells.  It was beautiful.  It's not anime but it reminded me so much of a Miyazaki movie.  It had the same feel.  I never thought I'd say that as I'm such a big fan of Spirited Away and all, but I loved this one...

    Miyazaki For Daycare

The great thing about Miyazaki films is that they are great for the kids.  I work at a daycare and on days when I close and its really cold and dark outside so the kids can't go out, I like to put in a movie when I'm down to like four kids.  The only...

With him I travel through culture and adventure, and dream. I think I haven't seen all yet, but a good deal of them. I think all with the word castle in the title rock. If anyone knows, I knew of him even before I knew it, meaning, when I was little I watched an anime (that I...

Hiya there. I am 13 years old, well.... I'm almost 14. But listen here..... since September of this year, I have watched 568 different anime films - before then, I only watched about 20 or so. Not all of them are by Hayao Miyazaki, but he is the one who made me get into anime...

    Castles And Skies

The first Miyazaki film I saw was 'The Castle of Cagliostro'. Being young and having grown up on cartoons, this was decisively different to anything else I had seen before yet there was a familiarity and timelessness to the movie that resonated with me. It was like a film I had...
