    MOZ

MOZ, yes how I love thee.  It has been quite a long relationship of relating to your amazing woes of life, in life.  At times, I could identify with the misery so elequently put.  Also, beautiful how someone so lonely, so asexual could be so romantic.  A poet...

What a sacred day. Tonight, for Moz's fifty-first, I'm going out to a Smiths based play. :)

I Don't Mind If You Forget Me.....

Having learned my lesson I never left an impression on anyone Rejection is one thing But rejection from a fool Is cruel I think this song sums up everything I adore about the man. No other person has had as big of an impact on my life as Moz.

    Many Years Of Enjoyment

It was the Smiths first. i heard 'How Soon is Now' on the tele and bought up all their albums. loved the songs, loved the lyrics so thought I'd invest in Morrissey albums. This was all back in 1994 when i was on my paper round. i'd get through so much great music in those cold...

    Oh you handsome devil.

I don't know whether I admire him or whether I want to inhabit his body. He's a complete and utter contrarian and can say some of the most pathetic and some of the most heart aching formations of words I've ever heard. He's equal parts narcissistic and full of self loathing but...

    I Love Morrissey

I've loved his music since I was a kid. :) My older sister got me hooked on him. I bought tickets to his concert at the Staples Center on November 24th. Is anyone going to that? :S

This Is One Of The Many Reasons I Love Morrissey.

And it's weird- I feel like he's literally drowned before when I listen to it. He's musically captured the water closing in. It's haunting to listen to. "I'm Not Sorry" On returning I can't believe this world is still turning The pressure's on Because 'the pleasure hasn't gone...

    "It'S Not Your Birthday Anymore"

Your voice, it might say no But the heart has a will of its own Your voice, it might say no But the heart has a heart of its own, own It's not your birthday anymore There's no need to be kind to you And the will to see you smile and belong Has now gone It's not your birthday...

from before 2011. Have been listening to the Smiths and Morrissey for about a year now. So in love with them and his lyrics still. Can almost recite the whol 'Queen is dead' album.

    I Love Morrissey/The Smiths I'm going through a

Morrissey/The Smiths phase right now and I think it's starting to annoy my husband. He is probably just happy I'm out of my Depeche Mode phase.

    Shame On You, Liverpool Hooligan!

Last night two songs into the set, a total idiot threw a beer bottle at Moz. It hit him square in the left temple/eye. A video on YT shows him visibly disorientated and angry before he walked off. Some drunkard had gotten a glass bottle in there (EDIT: Have just seen pics, it was...

    The One & Only

I have to admit to coming to Morrissey late: even though I enjoyed much of his music, all I had was a copy of Your Arsenal which I must have purchased just out of high school, and only listened to it sporadically. I was well into my 20s when he put out You Are The Quarry after a...

    Greatest Ever Poet

Dr Gavin Hopps, a lecturer in British Romanticism at St Andrews University has written a book arguing that singer Morrissey is the greatest lyricist in the history of British popular music. Well, there's no argument, is there? He has compared the Manchester performer...
