    The Earth, Our Home

My favorite place in the world is the beach. But 2nd to that, is the forest. Particularly rainforest. It is so beautiful. The soil is so rich, the plants are so green, the air is moist and the air is full of the sounds of birds. Being in a place that is so untouched by man allows...

    I live in the Rockies.

And let me just say I love my mountains. They are beautiful and they make me feel safe, like nothing can get to me. My family went on vacation to Florida about ten years ago and I was terrified I felt like something was going to swoop down and drag me to my doom. If anyone lives...

    Home Sweet Home

I've been to beaches and plains... never deserts or tundras... but I still think I could not live where there were no mountains or forests. I grew up in Tennessee, surrounded by woods and mountains, and it's very comforting to me.

Every time I am within nature,

I feel some sort of connection like I've never felt beforeā€”I just want to surround myself in it. I wish I could just live in the mountains and be away from the superficial bullcrap I have to be in today. At least I have meditation, and when I move out, I can practice Tai Chi...

    Rock Fortress Within Forests

    My Spiritual Home

I grew up in a city, with nothing but a few empty lots and a manicured park and a few playgrounds to play in. But my father loved the woods and as a small child he'd take me there and I immediately loved the smells and the quiet, and hated going back home. In scouts it all really...
