This is not my normal museum experience

    Connecting With the Past

When my wife and I are on holidays, we almost always visit a museum or two. Even we we're not travelling overseas. Some may think museums are strictly for nerds, but it's always great to see so many normal people and happy groups there.  Museums help me get into an...

    It's My Travel Prerequisite

The only reason I would EVER go to america would be to see things in museums over there that you cannot see anywhere else in the world. Your country terrifies me otherwise. I love the quiet museums, and the loud museums, and the atmosphere. I love the stern looks of...

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles,

the California Science Center, and the California African American Museum are a little over a mile away from me. My family and I visit the three quite often. I figure that it would be dreadful for us to have such valuable resources down the street from us and we never use them...

Two days ago at the Musée d'Orsay.

I was tired already, but decided to take a look at their new acquisitions that are on display in a separate room. I sauntered, not expecting much, when suddenly I discovered a painting I have been adoring for years now. I couldn't believe I finally saw it "in the flesh...

There is an endless plethora of knowledge within a museum. You can feel it surround you. I like to go to a museum or art gallery just to immerse myself in the cultural and artistic aura that has withstood the ages. It always fills me with a great sense of...

Either for business or for pleasure, when I arrive in a country for the first time, I want to see the museums.  When my schedule doesn't allow it, I will steal the time needed to step out of my way.  I feel a sense of urgency as if the occasion will never present...
