Here are a few of my hollyhocks.
They are special to my heart.
Each morning I go out with my cup of coffee and greet the blooms of the new day.
I photograph and love them.
Pluck bugs off them.
Sniff and smell them.
Plant hundreds of them.
One for me and one for the snails and...

Hello! Right now I only have garlic coming up in my vegetable garden but it's some pretty special garlic because this will be the 12th year that I have grown organically.

Anyway I think that spring...

is so rich I get a bit jealous. They have only used natural insecticides and...
Today I cut back some Sword ferns and was surprised to see that the
Fiddle heads were coming up already. You can eat the Fiddle heads they
have a mild nutty taste. (but you can only eat a few from each plant because
they eventually turn into the new leafs)
I recently moved into a new home(renting) and there were dreary little stunted plants that didn't grow or bloom or anything. I tried to resist pulling them up but they did not seem to have any redeeming qualities. When I pulled them they had hardly even put any roots down.
The joy that I get from getting my hands dirty is tremendous! I am lucky enough to have 22acres in the country (well, lucky to me but not to the "city folk" I guess) that I can plant to my heart's content.I have all sorts of gardens including a secret garden that I made...
This Spring I planted two rose bushes. I think they are called Queen Elizabeths. I got a couple of blooms this year. I hope it gets better next year.
That is all of my garden. I will plant some more next year.

There are a few photos of my garden in my photos section. I also take care of
other peoples gardens for a living. Cheers!
