My daughter is going through a ballerina phase.

She wants to dress up every day in one of her good dresses and dance. And now I'm checking on ballet classes for her!

I made my lunch and just sat down

when I realized I needed to run outside to quickly check something. We have a cat that will take unattended food so I asked my son to watch my food. When I came back, he was in my chair with his mouth right on my food. When I asked what he was doing he said it looked dead so...

My daughter started to learn how to knit.

.... She is using my knitting loom. The house resemble spider web. I woke up with loom on my head and yarn all over my bed. She wants to make a winter hat for grandma. Of course perfect gift in summer. The problem is her little brother spoiling her work. She has no mercy with...

I thoroughly love all my five children.

I have three girls and two boys. They have been my life since they were born. I really wanted a lot more children but that did not happen. However, I have still been blessed and very thankful to have had the opportunity to raise children .

    As divorce approaches,

there are many losses to lament. Among the greatest is the sad effect for the kids. I love them so much, and wanted to spare them all this anguish. It's the chief reason I didn't divorce the STBX immediately after D-day. When my world came crashing down, my next thought was "I...

Parenting is almost never a negotiation.

It's a series of rules that continually change as the child grows. Without the rules and the boundaries the child will not feel safe enough to continue to grow tall, strong and happy. That child will not trust the world and will allow others to violate their boundaries because...
