    Good Times

In my 20's I worked in almost every national park across the west. Plus I've been in the forest service. Why did I ever leave to pursue a 'real' career? Looking back, when I was in either, it was the best times of my life. I wonder if I'm too old to go back.

I Dream To Visit All National Parks Possible.

My family and I took our first road trip about 4 years ago to the Grand Canyon. It was a beautiful experience. We stayed in the main campground, which made it even more magical. When we got there we first set up our campground. I could not wait to get my first glimpse of the...

    I Love National Parks!

National Parks are the most beautiful places on Earth.  They are saved land exactly for that reason!  I've only been to a few: Death Valley, Yosemite, Zion, Grand Canyon, Redwood, Lassen, but there's so many more I want to go to!

    Passport

My husband and I get 5 weeks off a year for vacation.  We try to always spend at least 2 of those weeks going to National Parks.  When we started dating we bought the National Park Passport books.  We have filled one and have moved on to the 3-ring binder versions...

    California

I have been to many National Parks in the United States.  I have traveled through most of the US except New England.  Considering both my grandfathers were born in Boston, you would think I would have gotten there by now. I am a West Coaster at heart.  Born and...

    Retirement Strategy

I sure hope I make my goal of living as a full time RVer and bouncing from park to park after retire.ment. I've visited many, worked at almost a dozen, and even attended a ranger talk on my honeymoon (at Wright Brothers in North Carolina). I've looked into the Good Sam's Club and...

    Yosemite Is My Favorite

I have been to quite a few over the years, but Yosemite is my favorite.  In my youth I would spend more time in the high country, but now I like to stay in the valley.  Curry village is my favoritelace to stay in the park.  I like the history and wish I had...

    National Battlefields

I am not a militarist, but you cannot not but be moved at many of the Civil War battlefields, realizing what happened there and how many died. I hope we never let those be "privatized."

    Add Another One

The US has added number 397 with today being the dedication of Paterson Falls. As you drive Route 80 through Northern New Jersey you can often see the mist as you pass them.  These falls were the beginning of the industrialization of New Jersey, powering the silk mills and...
