    Would Someone Interpret My Dream?

I dreamt that I had a bunch of baby buffalo in my care, but they were the color of the sand and grass they were laying in so you didn't see them until they moved. They got startled by something so I started to shush and try to calm them. I turned around to see a native american...

I Love Native American & Canadian Aboriginal & Inuit Cultures

I have always loved the Native Americans since I was a little girl who visited the Porcupine Mountains area of Michigan every year with my grandparents. I have been away from my "first love" for many years, but have picked up from where I left off this year. I went to 3...

    Me being a native american,

I have been in a few pow-wows. Its very fun, but is very exhausting. Its not easy at all, especially when you are the one who has to dance all day and dont get to eat.

I'm very obsessed with Native American culture.

I like to read about them. The men are very handsome and I love everything about Native Americans. I have never been to a pow wow before. I really would like to go someday and see what it is like.

    My Daughter Is Part Indian

M y knowledge is academic with some time spent living on a reservation. But that sounds more interesting than it really was. The reservation territory was very large and we had limited contact with the tribe, so I never experienced their culture. My father -in-law had one great...

One of the most amazing celebrations I have been to is the Wadopana celebration near Wolf Point Montana. There was a raffle for a colt. I took my goddaughter up there to meet her fathers people. I was drowning in the Poplar River when a Black Lab dog came swimming out and...

    Native American Culture

I've never been to a Pow Wow, but I have a deep appreciation for Native American culture.  There's some Native American heritage on my father's side, according to my mother (never met my father).

    Stirring The Blood

The sound of the chanting and the movements of the feet while dancing. The dust rising up, while the drummers drum and sing. It stirs my blood in a way that nothing has ever stirred it. The flute music rising in the air like the sage smoking to drive out the bad spirits, fills...

    Navtive American Culture

I can't really remember when I felt the longing to seek Native American Culture.  I know I was a teenager and it was way before my father told me that we had native American blood running through our veins.  I don't know if this is why I have this strong yearning to be...
