I can't even begin to express my appreciation

for you and your show COSMOS, I first heard of you when I looked up the youtube video "most astounding fact" . Ever since I can recall I have felt so small and so big at the same time. I have always had a vast sense of curiosity especially of the night sky, the universe, and...

"I would teach how science works

as much as I would teach what science knows. I would assert (given that essentially, everyone will learn to read) that science literacy is the most important kind of literacy they can take into the 21st century. I would undervalue grades based on knowing things and find ways to...

I first learned of Carl Sagan

because of Neil. Damn LA school district. That man is a part of history. I think he deserved a mention or two. I would have been so excited as a child to be watching the original Cosmos. Part of an educator's duty is to awaken and nurture that sense of wonder in a child.

    Star Stuff

great astrophysicist after the same style as Carl Sagan in hosting Nova episodes. quite accomplished & knowledgeable, and should be recognized especially by all Bronx NYC school children as an inspiration.

I loved the first episode of Cosmos last night.

I was never good at science and Neil makes me interested in it. It brought tears to my eyes when he had Carl Sagan's calendar and the appointment with his 17-year-old self was in it. I wonder if Carl had any idea upon spending time with Neil all those years ago that he was...

He is like a reincarnated Carl Sagan!

The man who inspired the original COSMOS TV series, which told about our universe and multiverse and how it is constantly changing. One day we may discover more alien galaxies or planets, maybe even aliens themselves..Maybe, just maybe! :)

    Beautiful :')

So i've just discovered this guy and the first video i watched of him near the end he said one of the most beautifully poetic sentences i've ever heard....When asked about death... “I would request that my body in death be buried not cremated, so that the energy content...

    Passion And Humor

He is very passionate about science and space but often delivers it with such subtle humor.Like the night he appeared on Jon Stewart's show and very matter of factly informed Jon that his globe was spinning backwards.Who else would notice that.Only Neil.
