    Love No!

just went on a missions trip with a disaster relief team to NO. Never been there I so LOVE it which is weird because I am so NOT a city girl I would move there in a heart beat. I can hardly wait to go back and hit the French Market, the French Quarter and the Garden District...

    No Place Like It

New Orleans is my absolute favorite city to visit. It is the most romantic and unique place. When I walk down the streets there I feel like it is impossible to be sad. It's like a giant party there all the time. You'll find surprises around every corner. You can't go there...

    Great City!

The smells, the sights, the romance. What is there to not like about NO?! It is a wonderful place, but a night on the town can all be ruined by just one too many sips of a hurricane drink. been there, done that! Word of wisdom: if you drink, go slow. Enjoy the moment, soak...

New Orleans Since Katrina- 600,000 Black People Forced Out

I am concerned about the forced gentrification of N.O. since the Katrina debacle. We were to N.O. last in 2004. It was vibrant & colorful as always. The African-American influence, (N.O. was 60% black then), was everywhere, and New Orleans was one of the few places in the U.S...

New Orleans may be my favorite city to visit.

..at least in the US. There is no place like it anywhere, and the people who live there are fantastic...the tourists acting crazy are another matter entirely.

Atchafalaya Bridge En Route To No

New Year's Eve 1999 was one of the best moments in my life for something so trivial and simplistic. We had just left Baton Rouge for NO to celebrate NY Eve and had unfortunately - like most NY Eve's - gotten a late start. We had a caravan of about 6 cars that were ready to...

    The Big Easy........

What is it about NOLA that makes it such a majestic place?! There is something indescribable about the city that consistently draws in tons of people every week - even during winter months. Although I am a Texan by birth, I did attend LSU so I have grown quite familiar with...

    Tom Robbins Captures It Perfectly

"If New Orleans is not fully in the mainstream of culture, neither is it fully in the mainstream of time. Lacking a well-defined present, it lives somewhere between its past and its future, as if uncertain whether to advance or to retreat. Perhaps it is its perpetual ambivalence...
