I visited new york for 5 days recently. I'm absolutely in love with it. The touristy stuff doesn't appeal to me-- I'm mostly interested in the way that people conduct themselves in public. It's completely different from my small town in Georgia. It's more open. Public and private...

I'll be in town next Friday to visit some

friends. I'm also "surveying the land" for a potential move there. I'd love to meet some new people and maybe grab drinks. Inbox me.

when I moved to new York I always felt alone.

going to Manhattan and being a young handsome Caucasian warranted the attention of absolutely nobody. I hate that ******* place. I worked at a place and watched rich people take elevators. what SCU!bags.

    I'm from Texas, going back

and forth between living in some of the biggest cities in America to small blink-and-you'll-miss-em towns. I love living in the south but when I need to get away, there's no place I'd rather be than New York. I'd never live there, I feel like that would take away the novelty of...

I'm a Southerner who travelled to Albany once.

I absolutely loved it. My favorite part about the trip was when I was checking out at the grocery store. It was a 10 items or less line. A man with a full buggy tried to go down it and the cashier told him that it was 10 items or less. The man replied, "Well, good for you...

Today is the big Caribbean Day parade in NY!

I've been before (I'm Guyanese) and I noticed that everyone there is black and there were bearly any brown people lol. Not saying that as a bad thing or anything. The parade is pretty crazy but I mean that mostly in a good way. It's really nice to see Bill de Blasio (love that...

How not to love the Byzance of our times, the proud capital of the world, diamond guarded by Liberty where east meets west and equality rules. It never rules, equality, alas perhaps, but the city asks to show your hands and what they are able of. Listen to it's lullaby, its...

I've lived all over this town-usually in
