    Madam Butterfly

I get to help out with a production of Madam Butterfly by doing supertitles for the opera. They are actually doing it in Modern American English; with some slight differences as far as the setting and where it takes place. It's going fabulous! Although, I must say Butterfly's...

    Vitaly!

Vitas is such an amazing man. He is so warm and kind-hearted. He loves his wife and daughter very much. I was beginning to think men like him were mythical beings. He is so warm and full of light that I smile just looking at him. I think he is very attractive, sure. But...

    Don Giovanni

Just got done listening to this opera. It is quite fun! My voice teacher is directing this opera for a local opera company here; they are going to be performing it in English. :) I bet it will be really good, because my professor rocks!

    Highlights Or The Whole Thing?

I like listening to opera.  I`ve been to several operas and have concluded that purchasing a complete opera might not be as satisfying as opera highlights.  The only thing is from some of the reviews I`ve read, highlights are included in a CD etc. at the discretion of...

I just heard the most lovely rendition of "Je

vieux vivre" from Romeo and Juliet by Mady Mesple, a french Opera Singer. It was the 1993 remastered version, but goodness, it was completely lovely to listen to. I would seriously suggest giving it a listen!

    It Really Helps

Well, lately I have been having to face a lot of fear and discomfort.. It''s been driving me nuts. But I have found one thing that absolutely amazes me because of how much it comforts me. The Russian singer Bumac Vitas. He does opera and when he does, his voice just calms and...

    Madama Butterfly

Watching 'Cardiff Singer of the World', I have to go back to the greatest of them all, Maria Callas, a woman whose life was an opera in itself. Glorious.

    Werther (pronounced Verter)

I saw Massenet's Werther at the Lyric Opera of Chicago last night. My first Massenet opera, however, sort of indifferent about the opera. That does not mean I didn't like it, but definitely did not move me. I have been an avid opera goer only since last year and only because...

    Maria Callas and Placido Domingo

    I Think She Is Ok

Although I would not say I love Opera. I do admire her philanthropic nature. And she is incredibly rich too so I probably would tell her I love her, then marry her, get divorced, and then sit back and enjoy the palimony
