Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 39 People

But I Don't Want One For Myself

I just love it that I can get to have personal conversations with such brilliant minds on a frequent basis through my work.  I always give the academics special treatment.  Yesterday, I had a chat with one of them as he stood at the express holds shelf in my Library...

I love my professor. He's enthusiastic

and brilliant with just the right amount of nerdy. I started emailing him questions during the course and we continued an email correspondence even after the course ended. We shared wonderful ideas and conversations via email. He invited me out for coffee to just talk. He...

You can't make much progress in research there due to lack of academic resource and guidiance. And you would feel invincible ennui there due to lack of peers. The majority of people you could find there are materialists and partyers.

a true free spirit, a loner, a man of the people who lives and works FOR the people. He is a special man with a destiny, not meant for ordinary things.  I have mentioned him quite frequently in my various writings on EP because my feelings of attraction to him were so...

    Scholarly friends are invaluable in

that they can help solve your intellectual problems without charging you. Whenever I see a scholarly answer in forums, I feel gratified. These scholars evoke my elation which has long languished outside school. You never understand how vapid it is outside school until you are...
