    never an e-reader!

Am currently reading about the "Rain Wilds" in Robin Hobb's book Dragon keeper. Murder Mystery next C J Sansom. Absolutely essential to end the day. Any book really. Er no! I've put books down before. OK most books & possibly some rather dull technical...

    I <3 It

I've been reading before bedtime regularly for a few years now. I'm horrible at falling asleep and reading really helps tire my brain a little so that it doesn't take as long. I know I still run through my mental lists and whatnot before I fully fall asleep, but reading gives me...

    Sheik Ya Booty

I read every night before I go to sleep.  I have been doing this since I was a kid.  It is such a habit I can't fall asleep without it.  I read all kinds of books but I love a good mystery.

Great Way To End The Day

For me, reading is such a wonderful way to end the day! I love that quiet time with my boyfriend, with just our bedside lamps on, sitting on the bed with a good book. It puts me into that relaxed mode, ready for a good night sleep! :)

    Reading Fan Fictions

Ever since I found out about fan fictions, I just feel in love with them. There are some great authors out there and I find it interesting to read about the continuation of some movies, tv shows, cartoons, comics (or graphic novels, for all us adults) and even songs. I used to...

    Familiar Fiction

I have other kinds of fiction that I read while travelling, but when it comes to winding down before sleep, I love reading one of the fantasy stories by David Gemmell or David Eddings. I know the stories - I know the characters.  There are some good lines in...

I like reading a good book before bedtime but I especially love reading to my lover.  I feel it brings a different intimacy to the words.

    Good Book

My night time routine is to read for 20 or so minutes before I go to bed. Some stories just seem to put me to bed while others keep me up, alert as ever. I mean, its not like one is boring and the other is exiting... My theory is that is has something to do on whether I have read...

    Problem Is...

I never really get to bed! I read all night if the book is a major page-turner.

Why do does it take 40+ pages to get into a

book? Yes the really good ones less but the still OK/reasonably good ones do.

    The Age Old Question...

Watching a "Fun Run" the other day I noticed one competitor was dressed as a chicken and another as an egg and thought "hmm this will be interesting..I wonder which one will come first!!"

I have read all of the twilight series.

Don't judge me I'm a romantic yuppy. I have read most of the Anne Rice Sagas. So obviously I'm a fan of vampires. Team Edward. I love the book blood and chocolate, not so much the movie. Those are my favorites so that is all I will say for now. :)

    A Little Escape Before Unconscieousness

I despise attempting to fall asleep with my day still trampling through my brain, running rough-shod over any calming image I might try to conjure up to lull myself to sleep. I have stacks of books next to my bed. Once never knows what genre will be the magical one to whisk me...

    Drifting Off #2

Before bedtime is when I do most of my reading these days.  Either just before my daughter’s bedtime, or before my own.  With my daughter I get 20 minutes of sky pirates, wizards and putting on silly voices.  Finding a cliffhanger when she’s starting to drift.  ‘Are you...
