This week I read "Songs of Willow Frost" by

Jamie Ford. Hearing mixed rewievs of his debut novel I found myself sceptical but being almost thretened to read it by an enthusiastic old lady I'd just met I had no other choice than to read it. The book is dealing with Seattle under the depression, a child seperated from his...

Just finished Yukio Mishima's Evening Dress.

This 1966 novel is one of the best works of the Japanese writer. In fact, it was not originaly published as a book, but by chapters in a women magazine. The novel tells the story of a bizarre triangle formed by a the couple of Ayako Inagaki and Toshio Takigawa, and Toshio's...

I hate it when I finish reading a book in class.

I'll look around the room and notice that kids are going on with their day, texting and talking and what not, as if I didn't just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback.
