Ever since I was 10 I've loved to read,

my room is overflowing with novels of all sorts! Although my favourite author is Trudi Canavan (if you haven't read any of her books I highly suggest you do!) followed by Pittacus Lore. Both writers have made it nearly impossible for me to put down any one of their books, and I...

I finished Catch 22. It took me ages to read.

It's funny but it doesn't have a plot. Meanwhile I have got through a lot of other books. Which probably aren't masterpieces. I tend to choose chick lit but I like detective stories and political thrillers. I'm reading a novel by David Baldacci right now.

I love reading, it's an escape from reality.

I get to imagine the story come to life not just stare at some screen. I love reading because I get to image someone else's life and not have to think of mine Reading is my escape. What's yours?

I love to read... I definitely prefer paper

I hate it when I finish reading a book in class.

I'll look around the room and notice that kids are going on with their day, texting and talking and what not, as if I didn't just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback.

I am reading two books at this time.

One is Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. My brother gave it to me for Christmas. I found it hard to get into but I am halfway through and now I find it quite funny. The other book is The Snow Angel by Lulu Taylor. I am getting on a lot faster with this one! It's chick lit.

I am re-reading 'The Daughter of Time' by Josephine Tey. Written in the early 1950s it is quite dated but still a fascinating read. A detective has been injured and has to lie flat on his back in hospital to recover. He is feeling fed up and a friend decides to cheer him up...

Open a book and fill your mind with knowledge.

I can't stress this enough. Rather than spending hours on social networks or playing video games, take some time feed your mind. It's hungry for knowledge! You will be amazed at what you can learn just by opening a book. The more you read, the more you know. It's that simple.
