    What Newspapers Think Is Important

I want to know why a newspaper chooses its content the way that it does. How the editorial staff of the paper come to the conclusions that they do as to what we as the readers of said paper will find important. The newspaper where I live thought skinning a deer was second page...

    Not As Much Anymore

I used to get the paper all the time and read it from front to back.  I now get one every once in a while if something catches my eye.  I get most of my news off of the Internet anymore.  It is nice to hold a newspaper though and read it.  I don't like getting...

    A Feel For The Place

Whenever I venture to another city or another state, I like to pick up a copy of the local paper. I enjoy the local stories and news. But I also just like to see how they interpret the layout of a newspaper. I like to look at the ads. I get a feel for that place from their...

If My Newspaper Gets Any Smaller Its Going to Be a Pamphlet.

The printed newspaper is in rapid decline. Papers all over the U.S. big and small are shutting down the presses. My local rag has shrunk. It keeps getting smaller in dimension and thickness as it went from five sections to two. I always loved lying in bed on a...

I am addicted to my morning papers.

Nothing better than sitting in a comfortable chair, with a great cup of coffee reading a newspaper. When I travel, the first thing I do when I get up is to get my coffee and locate the local paper and if I can find it, the WSJ. I do worry about the future of newspapers though...
