I Love Rock Climbing

Nothing gives me more of a thrill then the

moment before a fall. My feet shaking on chips on the rock. My fingers scraped, burned, and sore beyond comprehension. The realization that when I fall it will be a bit before the rope catches. Beads of sweat racing down the bridge of my nose and my rubber toes inch forward...

    One of my biggest passions

that I can't live without. Everyone needs to discover themselves and find out what they truly love to do. Why settle for less when you have talent ! I believe everyone is somewhat gifted, a lot of us just don't know because we don't try hard enough. Like what Steve jobs said...

    Rock Love

I love a good challenge; a challenge that tests you mentally physically and emotionally all at the same time. The greater the challenge the greater the reward. One of the most challenging and rewarding things is rock climbing and more then just climbing; the challenge of...

    The Grip

You start your day early, the dew reflects off the grass. The temperature is a mix of cold and hot. Your rope almost feel's wet from over night. Your body is stiff, but as soon as you touch the rock, you loosen up. Kinks disappear, stiffness is gone, suddenly you are limber...

    I'm Really Interested In This!

I'm totally psyched to start at the indoor arena, and get some good practice in and hopefully get to a level where I can transition to some outdoor climbs. Absolutely any advice on how to get started and how to move indoor to outdoor from you seasoned climbers out there would be...

I've been climbing for about 4 years now

and I absolutely love it! I'm not the best climber, I only do indoor and I'm not really bothered about doing all the hardest climbs in the room but I just love it. I've got a great group of people who I climb with and I love the way that you can challenge yourself and get a real...

    An insatiable passion of mine.

I wish I could climb all the time. I started going to my local climbing gym about a year and a half ago and I am still excited day that I go. My weekends are are all planned with outdoor trips too. Yosemite, J-tree, Red Rocks, Bishop, so much to do, so little time.

Sent my project in Moab today!

! Really fun boulder problem called 'Circus Trick'. I took two trip spaced 10 months apart to do it and it was definitely well worth it!

This place beckons to the climber like a flame to a moth.  I had been before, but it was my first time since becoming a climber.  Rounding the bend to get my first view of the cookie, I had to stop right there for a bit and stand in awe at the sheer scale, as up to that...

Which Is Better - Climbing Or Rappelling?

Yesterday, a beautiful day in the mid-80s with a breeze that picked up as the day wore on, we went to a popular local climbing area.  To our utter surprise, we had it completely to ourselves for almost 6 hours.  We had three lines set up for top roping on a 100 foot...

Just got diagnosed with a mood disorder

and climbing keeps me going! Idk if it's about facing fear and pushing thru, or a forced meditation when you're up there and can only focus on your body and the wall but whatever it is, it's been my lifeline! Why did you get into climbing ??

I went climbing today & am super proud of

myself! I would describe myself as a comfortable 5.8 climber. But I did a 5.10 today that was about 35m! This was after climbing a 5.9 and another shorter 5.10. At the crux of the last climb, about four-fifths of the way up, I really thought about calling it quits. But I pressed...

Well… The very best way of practicing

climbing is… Climbing! (Surprise surprise) However, assuming you are also excluding climbing gyms, and regular gyms (of which I am not a fan personally) what I do myself for practicing is good old functional training basics: squats, push ups and pull ups. I keep the...

    From Hobby To Passion

I have been rocking climbing for approximately 7 years now and had no idea where it would lead. It all started innocently enough with hearing about an indoor climbing gym and a visit on a Saturday. At that point I knew rock climbing (at least indoors) was something I wanted to...

    Climbing: It`s Addictive

I`ve been climbing for about 6 years on and off, and recently got back into it in my new town. I found a partner who is willing to progress with me and we head to the gym only once a week. The gym is an hour away, and in the middle of a bustling city. But with this, I am always...

    Like this group is called,

I love rock climbing! When I lived in northern MN my sister and I would climb at the gym and go hiking in the wilderness looking for places to boulder. One would carry the pad and the other the backpack with the shoes, chalk, snacks, and water. We would wander and enjoy nature...

called "High Rock". I haven't been there in years, but it has always been in the back of my mind to take him, and today seemed the perfect day to do so.(some of you will get the symbolism in this picture, yes, it was intentional, and some won't... you will not be harshly judged...

    I freeclimbed a 200m cliff this week.

Felt more like 200 miles because I'm terrified of heights. I climbed about 5m as a joke because I didn't want to walk up the gentle slope, but my friend said "good idea" and flew ahead of me, so I had to.

    I've always loved rock climbing,

since I was a kid. I always climb trees, high areas, hell I even tried climbing my house! ( only made it half way). I'm gonna climb a rocky cliff or a small mountain one day. Theirs so much I want to do when I'm older, I guess I better get in shape :)

I actually just started climbing this year - I

love it! Focusing on one solemn problem is essential. You can't be thinking of all the daily grind. You have to concentrate. Where is your next hold? I got a ton of gear for Christmas, I love learning new and better ways to do things. I can't wait for my next climb!

    Most Exhilarating Experiences!!

I've been climbing pretty regularly the past 2

months and the progress is always fun to notice. I started at 5.9/5.10 and V2/V3. Now I am climbing 5.10/5.11 and V3/V4. Also I have noticed my arms look pretty strong...the core too. Love improving!
