    Am I the only person

who actually likes the feeling of falling when I just miss the next clip in? Yesterday, on the wall I was traversing a double overhang and I was acutely aware that the energy was disappearing out of my core, fore arms and fingers... When my dear little brain kicked in telling...

    From Hobby To Passion

I have been rocking climbing for approximately 7 years now and had no idea where it would lead. It all started innocently enough with hearing about an indoor climbing gym and a visit on a Saturday. At that point I knew rock climbing (at least indoors) was something I wanted to...

Climbing Partner And Partner? Double Trouble?

I have been climbing for a few years now seriously and my hubby much longer. We started out climbing together constantly but have now peeled off with other partners as he tries to coach me and I refuse to listen to him but when I climb with my friends I attentively listen to...

I've been climbing pretty regularly the past 2

months and the progress is always fun to notice. I started at 5.9/5.10 and V2/V3. Now I am climbing 5.10/5.11 and V3/V4. Also I have noticed my arms look pretty strong...the core too. Love improving!

I love to climb. I don't like man made walls; I

like going back in the woods and finding the hardest way to make it to the top of a hill. One of my dreams is to climb Mt. Everest! 😍

    Like this group is called,

I love rock climbing! When I lived in northern MN my sister and I would climb at the gym and go hiking in the wilderness looking for places to boulder. One would carry the pad and the other the backpack with the shoes, chalk, snacks, and water. We would wander and enjoy nature...

    Yosemite

This place beckons to the climber like a flame to a moth.  I had been before, but it was my first time since becoming a climber.  Rounding the bend to get my first view of the cookie, I had to stop right there for a bit and stand in awe at the sheer scale, as up to that...

Just started today; private training at a city rock gym in Houston. I'm in okay shape ... but I can't feel my hands. Am committing to go this place twice a week; work is prohibiting me from going more than that.

    A Feeling Like No Other

There is this 150 ft. rock that I love to climb at least ones a week. When ever I go I do it free climbing and bare foot. Well its December now and the rock is iced up, So you'd think I'd stay away from it. Well I'm not all that bright. I decided to go ...

I've only been climbing at a local indoor gym, but I love it. I love the workout, the sweat, the adrenaline, the bruises, the sore muscles, the calories burnt, the flappers, the stares from the guys as you kick their ***** all the way up the wall, all of it. At some point I'd...

    Climbing: It`s Addictive

I`ve been climbing for about 6 years on and off, and recently got back into it in my new town. I found a partner who is willing to progress with me and we head to the gym only once a week. The gym is an hour away, and in the middle of a bustling city. But with this, I am always...

    The Grip

You start your day early, the dew reflects off the grass. The temperature is a mix of cold and hot. Your rope almost feel's wet from over night. Your body is stiff, but as soon as you touch the rock, you loosen up. Kinks disappear, stiffness is gone, suddenly you are limber...

Which Is Better - Climbing Or Rappelling?

Yesterday, a beautiful day in the mid-80s with a breeze that picked up as the day wore on, we went to a popular local climbing area.  To our utter surprise, we had it completely to ourselves for almost 6 hours.  We had three lines set up for top roping on a 100 foot...
