    After a hot summer run,

do you ever decide that your clothes are just too sweaty to drive home wearing, then ***** naked to just sit on a towel you laid on the seat, only to realize that you've left your water bottle on the roof of your car?

Always be aware of your surroundings!

Tips for runners : always wear bright colored clothes and run against traffic so oncoming traffic can see you and you can see them. If I wasn't running against traffic this morning I would have got hit. This lady was turning right and texting. Luckily I moved out of the way. Can...

    Ran cross country and track

since I was a kid, but never have I been challenged like this on hills! I'm used to the flat land in Texas, but now in California I'm trying to adjust to these hills otherwise they'll be the death of me.

    I run because I'm happy.

I run away from being sad. I run because I'm strong. I run away from being weak. I run because I just made peace. I run away from a fight. I run because I want to be with people. I run away from being lonely. I run for life. I run away from death. No matter what I do, or...

This is it! I made it.

..! My first half-marathon accomplished at just a little over my target (2hours 3minutes) but the most important thing is: unlike last year, my 1st 10K race, this was completely injury free! I'm ready to go running again tomorrow! How awesome is that? Am I happy...?! YES...

    Today I ran 18 km (11 miles) .

The beginning of my day was full of tension and frustration. It has been a cloudy, somewhat cold and rainy day to add to my mood. Shall I run indoors? Shall I go out to the rain? No thunders in the horizon... What the heck? No iPod. Only my water bottle and me.this run is in a...

Today however, I surprised myself. At a pace of 5:35 min/km I managed the 6.3km trail around the beautiful lake Bled. It's really nice to be able to change the running scenery from time to time. It rained the whole time but it did not or could not keep me from going all the...

I started long distance running at age 50.

Did my first half and full marathons the first year. I still run three days a week and compete 4 or 5 times a year. Running is my medicine and meditation. It keeps me in good physical and emotional health.

My first marathon ever was yesterday.

City of Chicago. 40,000 runners. It was such an amazing experience to see close to 1 million people along the course cheering and volunteering for a positive cause. I "high five" hundreds of people along the way. All that positive energy will stay with me for a long time .
