The beginning of my day was full of tension and frustration. It has been a cloudy, somewhat cold and rainy day to add to my mood.
Shall I run indoors? Shall I go out to the rain? No thunders in the horizon... What the heck?
No iPod. Only my water bottle and me.this run is in a...
I'm spending my July 4th weekend near the beach.
I woke up real early this morning, just before dawn, and decided to take short drive to the beach near Pine Knoll Shores, NC, parked and went out for my morning run.
Sometime last year, I bought a pair of running sandals and...
Birds were chirping anticipating the sunrise. A deer crossed my path when..... Floor!
I should have learned to pay attention to rocks in the pavement.
Other than my pride, nothing else was hurt. 😄🏃. 8 miles of bliss.
However, this is the first time I do this route in a month since I was in a holiday. Last night was an emotionally loaded day and I woke up with those worries in my mind.
Great morning for a run and to do some active meditation.
The wind was blowing in my face, a freedom...
But I am going to do my mini mini charity marathon at midnight! yes Midnight! for some not so huge distance.Regarding this, I quickly made an announcement to one of my dearest EP friends since he is a big fan of running."There you go""you can do it"Ah ha.. ah ha.. I will and I...
.. I have been running for a month and a bit more and I'm trying to do the 'couch to 5 K' challenge.. It's been quite hard because I'm not really an exercise person.... But I'm really trying.. Wish me luck today! I am about to go out now!
Listen-don't know if it's just me but if I'm running in the fog and my Dog comes bounding up I have to stop and exclaim "Good GOD Holmes.. A Giant HOUND" in my best Watson voice.
Obviously there's no other human there to appreciate it but in pretty sure the dog is bloody...
25 .. I'm not trying to be an athlete so I'm well aware I'm not speedy pro ;) .. But in this hear I'm drenched and loving it. Sometimes I have to really mentally kick my own *** to get out and go, but as soon as the first mile is done don't wanna stop. I walked a few more tonight...

I made it...! 10.19Km before the catcher car caught me...!
I had a minor pain in my right leg for the last couple of days which I tried to subdue by taking a few days rest.
It looked like I was over it the moment the race started!
I felt amazing, one of the most exhilarating...
this weekend! I was so nervous as it has been a long time but excited as well as it is my favourite race to do!
It was the worst conditions possible for me (hot!) but despite that I started of pretty strong and was feeling great to about mile 9! Then my ankle went (an old...
I've always ran but haven't done an actual race! I'm also volunteering to run with a group of kids for my daughters school. This is also her first 5k and she is so excited. She's getting her first experience early she's only 7☺️
... And yes I made it in the top 20%. BUT the lesson learned today was from a 60 year old fellow runner. Approached me on mile marker 3 ( about 5 km ) and he started making conversation. He told me he was just happy to be there running at his 60 years. Then he smirked , started...
Today however, I surprised myself. At a pace of 5:35 min/km I managed the 6.3km trail around the beautiful lake Bled.
It's really nice to be able to change the running scenery from time to time.
It rained the whole time but it did not or could not keep me from going all the...
I run away from being sad.
I run because I'm strong.
I run away from being weak.
I run because I just made peace.
I run away from a fight.
I run because I want to be with people.
I run away from being lonely.
I run for life.
I run away from death.
No matter what I do, or...
City of Chicago. 40,000 runners. It was such an amazing experience to see close to 1 million people along the course cheering and volunteering for a positive cause. I "high five" hundreds of people along the way. All that positive energy will stay with me for a long time .
from the front of my ankle up my shin! It's really painful at night, and especially the day after a run. God forbid back to back days. I haven't run in over a week trying to calm this down and it still hurts! Anyone else deal with this?
