I love listening sad songs. I think that's kind of instict because what I need is to release those feelings.
It is not bad to set our soul free. This is one of my favourite songs.
Breathe me by Sia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0QBzX7zZBw
I'm just a normal boy
That sank when I fell overboard
My ship would leave the country
But I'd rather swim ashore
Without a life vest I'd be stuck again
Wish I was much more masculine
Maybe then I could learn to swim
Like 'fourteen miles away'
Now floating up and down
Here are the lyrics of a new song I wrote. I have not sat down and wrote the music with it yet and some punctuation etc... could change.
Hope you like it!

Happiness is indeed a sad song. When I'm truly sad, it messes me up worse to hear a happy song than a sad one. To be reminded of what you can't ever have, to see how very little you can now relate to those words that once sang with your own heart, the song betrayed you, taunts...

In my darkest of days, this song comforts me and lets me cry at the same time. I feel understood and accepted. I have dreamed often of having that one person say these words to me, to let me crash and burn, to hold me in their arms, where I am safe....I don't need anyone else...
You should listen to it. It's my favourite. This song is from bolly wood movie ek villain.Pal do pal ki hi kyun hai zindagiIs pyaar ko hai sadiyaan kaafi nahito khuda se maang loonMohalat main ik nayiRehna hai bas yahaanAb door tujhse jaana nahiJo tu mera humdard haiJo tu mera...
Not very many people understands why I like this song.
It just has a very valuable meaning to me, I was my best friends favorite song, she'd sing it, she was an amazing singer, she committed suicide a little over 2 years ago. I cry everytime I listen to it.
but they also make me excited. I think sadness is the most honest emotion that's put into songs. I like hearing the openness and vulnerability in them.
Not just songs either. I LOVE sad stories (fictional). It's actually quite hard for me to be emotionally engaged in stories...
This is one of my favorite songs right now. The song tells a story about a man and a woman who are in love. His lover gets shot in the heart and she tells him to kiss it better because she's not ready to die because she'll have to leave him. He avenges the killer and gets put in...
Mostly because lately it's a lot easier to relate to them than to cheerful songs. In a way i feel that sad songs are a lot closer to me than other ones, they usually are full of emotions and i like that. it makes me feel human and it keeps me away from one of my biggest fears...
that made me think of something else other than the song itself.
The XX - intro
The Horrors(not a metal band) - Still Life
The Cinematic Orchestra - To Build A Home
Pisces - Sam
Nym - Lesser known good
Scala and Kolacny Brothers - Creep
The Jam - Ghosts
Oh my goodness, I dont know what it is about a sad song that lightens up my mood, but only after i listen to it about a million times. I'm the type of person that can listen to a song over and over and over and cry her eyes out while singing it.
There were times in my life...
Raw emotion. I love this song...
What have I got to do to make you love me
What have I got to do to make you care
What do I do when lightning strikes me
And I wake to find that you're not there
What do I do to make...
