Huge fan of the Dali man!  In fact a few years ago I was with my family visiting St.Petersbur, Florida and new that the museum was a must see for me.  After losing the battle for any sort of ride from my parents who just wanted to bask in the sun all day; I knew what...

    Middle School

I think I was in 7th grade, and I had an art class. Well we actually had to make these masks and copy our favorite piece of art. Everyone was doing boring basic things, something about Dali's work completely intrigued me. Ever since then, I have been in love. All throughout...

I must have an experience showing my

unflinching passion for Salvador Dali, the great Surrealist, he was the antithesis of the Surrealist movement, often shunning parties and distanced himself from the movement. I have visited his gallery/museum in Figueras in Catalonia, near Barcelona. I must say how awestruck I...

    Salvador Dali

Best artist ever!! Crazy, but very good. Back in 2006, we took our son to Disney World in Florida, and did a day at the Salvador Dali museum. It was so much fun. Some of his pieces are so big, they are 2 floors high. Just imagine that. Where would you hang such a huge piece...

Incidentally, there is a burning giraffe in this picture. Mind, there is a lot of other weird **** going on. But let's not forget the giraffe. Because it's on fire. I have always said that the names an artist gives his/her works goes a long way to giving them character...

What a nice surprise finding this group!

Many years ago we spent sunmer holidays in Figueres-Spain. There is a superb museum for Dali, actually the house where he lived many years. It was so amazing. My kids were young and they did not understand most paintings. Well, neither did I. He was a genius in art.

Went to see the museum in Spain this year, fantastic place. This person was a genius in my mind, how to come to visualising what he painted in his mind fascinates me. Yes, some of his stuff was just plain odd, but it makes you think, where I  think ordinary run of the mill...
