    Leaving Scotland

After yet another holiday in Scotland, we were driving back home and when we got to the English border between Gretna Green and Carlisle, we both had lumps in our throats. In all the times we have been going there, we only met one person (18 year old) who was trying to stir it...

I am so so so sad that we have given up the

chance of independence, Scotland is a great country and I believe that we should make our own decisions instead of letting west minster decide what's best for us! I respect everyone's vote on the referendum yes or no, I just hate the fact that a lot of no voters cast their votes...

I recently had a little holiday up there

and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't been before. It was my first visit there and I enjoyed every moment. I plan on going there again sometime because I liked it so much. I am from Wales and I felt right at home there.

I love this place. Although it doesn't have

good weather the countrysides are amazing! Not like England where they are flat and boring, they are just exiting and interesting to look at. Just LOVE it!

My Heart Is At Home There

I was not born in Scotland, I was born in Canada. I never lived in Scotland, but I have spent about 3 and a half months there, over four separate trips. But I am of Scottish ancestry, and I am a Highland dancer, teacher and judge. There are places in this world where your...

I've only been a few times.

One time on a work trip to Glasgow for a couple of days and one mad, impromptu roadtrip from Wales to John O'Groats in a fit of teenage spontaneity. From what I remember it was an exceptionally beautiful place full of friendly people. The scenery in the highlands reminds me of a...

    We both love Scotland.

But with my wife housebound we can't get there. However, I am using it to make her want to get better. So I bought the Outlander series set. So far I have only found a few mistakes which surprised me as they said they really researched the history. So far we are up to...

    Pregnant In A Foreign Country

First, I am an American.  Proud of my country, despite its faults and proud to have served. My first pregnancy was while I lived in Scotland.  So, I have these wonderful, beautiful memories of taking long walks (waddles) throughout the Scottish countryside.  I...
