I have pretty long hair. I traded it last year but owned a Mustang GT convertible....one of those "gotta do this before I die" purchases.
I had scrunchies looped over the gear shift...in the console...the glove box...in my purse...in my desk at work. Just...
I want my long hair back! when i had really long hair i would throw my hair back in a scrunchy, they SO rock. I try to put my hair back now, but it's still growing and not long enough to stay in a pony tail. Damn my.... wanting to change my style. lol
I really hated the woman I got cause she always wears turtlenecks.
I decided that I was going to make her an assortment of scrunchies with my sewing kit when I got a grandiose idea!
I collected up some goat **** pebbles from when I volunteer at the barn on Saturdays.
I love to wear scrunchies in my hair at home. Just easy and comfortable and not hard to make. My daughter had every color at one point. They also don't pull your hair out as much and just look cute. :)
I just really like scrunchies because they don't break as easily as normal hair bands, and I don't lose them all over the house. When I was buying hair bands, they'd pull my hair when I would take them out, but that's never been an issue with scrunchies.
I use them in fasinators and hats and on there own.they are good as a broach ruffle as well and pin to the shirtI have a few I have never used.velvet, ribbon and multi ribbon like sports ones, satin, cotton floral etc.they do when nothing else works.
Why? Because they are harder to snap, and it does hurt when you snap them, a lot. I used to have long hair down to my waist so it was necessary for my to tie my hair back, until I chopped it all off. It nows curls up around my chin, I definately prefer it short.
