I Love Scuba Diving

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 211 People

Although i haven't gone in awhile,

i love to scuba dive. There is something very special about entering into the water. It is almost like meditation, concentrate on your breathing, relax, and enjoy.

    Like Flying

I often have dreams of flying, of soaring over the landscape without support, and being able to stop and float in place. It wasn't until I got to scuba dive that I actually got to do this in real life. The experience was different, but oddly familiar. I'm definitely...

    I Made It!!!!!!

Water, Water everywhere. Water was always a part of my life from swimming in the St Clair River and Lake Huron, to swimming laps for many years in a pool. Always thought of taking up diving---one excuse or the other, then my Father drowned in Vero Beach, Florida in 1990. He was...

    Cold Water Diver

I'm from Canada. I love diving up here. We have some of the best wrecks on the planet right in our own back yard. Yeah okay a 7mm wetsuit is required all year but you get used to it. Any other cold water divers on here?

I took a scuba diving course at my college

and I enjoyed it, even though it took me some time to get used to the scuba equipment in the water. I still don't have my certification, but I want to get it.

On a night dive tonight off the Kohala coast on the Big Island of Hawaii, another diver and I came upon a large (17 inches or so) bigfin reef squid. Invertebrates are my absolute favorite things underwater, and this experience was unparalleled. I've never seen anything like it...

    Learned In The Red Sea

Off the coast of Egypt - I am afraid it might be all downhill from there. It was truly gorgeous and in just a few feet of water away from the shore there was so much wildlife in the coral. Stonefish, angelfish, eels, clownfish, and many other that I don't even know. Clarity was...

What a Life...living In the Sea

Ilove scuba diving. It makes you feel weightless and in an entire new world. The new life and different species you can see underwater is amazing. I have had my PADI license for about fifteen years. I have dove in the springs, creek, ocean, etc.... It is just a wonderful feeling...

scuba diving is just awesome experience,

where you can feel the nature and you can feel our-self. you can feel every heart beat when you are in depth and its worlds most silent place, I didn't found any other place in world than underwater. the view of corals is just awesome. I simply love that.
