    Bought My First Kit When I Was 14

    Worked side by side with my dad as I built my first gun.  It was a 50 cal. Thomson Center black powder rifle.  I still have that gun and I would eventually inherit my dads gun many rears later when he passed away. I have since passed down my gun to my 17 year old son...

    I've been really enjoying my Hawkens 50 cal.

    I have a separate Thompson/Center black powder rifle with a great scope, but I'm really liking the old fashion feel of this rifle and the open sight. I have even hit some bulls at 50 yards and 75 yards...with sabots though. Usually 100 grain.

    muzzleloader's are the best!

    If I had to pick which of my guns were my very favorite, hands down my .50 caliber Lyman great plains. I absolutely love that rifle. It's such a pleasure load and shoot. Never misses the mark. Second would be my .44 colt navy (pietta) so much fun plinking with that one. But...
