This year I'm taking a break.

What a year to do it though; best snow in years! I'm not sad though, the mountains will be here longer than I, and I've reached great heights of athleticism that I will forever remain content with. I'll always be a skier. Another Zen practice.

    Just Do It!

If I had listened to others about how dangerous skiing is I would have never found my lifelong Passion for gliding on the snow and teaching others. Get out and do it Taking a lesson if your a nube is a must.

    Skiing On Ruapehu

Actually, to say I love skiing is a slight exaggerating. I'd say more I like it a lot. My parents love skiing, a skill they learned from my grandfather. Mum and Dad, along with my grandparents, first took me and my brother skiing when I was five. We've gone skiing every Winter...

I grew up in South Germany and every Winter my parents took me to the Swabian Alps or the Black Forest where we spent the days between Christmas and New Year. In the winter before I turned 5, my father taught me how to ski. I loved it immediately! I felt down a lot but my father...

Is Skiing Spiritual For You ?

Is Skiing Spiritual ,That's an interesting title, is it not?For me it is definitely in the affirmative, I find it exceedingly important to journey to the mountains at least once a year, if not more. My Dad taught my sisters & myself to ski, he is extremely good, I have not...

I went to sunshine, having looked at the weather I wasn't expecting much in the way of new snow. As I pulled into the parking lot I got a surprise. It was snowing :) as I made my way from my front row parking to the ticket booth talking to the attendant she said no new snow in...

    I LOVE skiing and boarding.

I'm really a ski rat at heart. Would totally live the ski/boarding lifestyle to its fullest if I didn't have responsibilities... family, kids, mortgage payment, car payment, etc. to be real, I didn't have the balls necessary to just go that route while in college. However, I've...

    My One True Love

I have always loved skiing. I think my parents had me on cross country skis by the age of 3. Then when I was 4 my brother and I wanted to go skiing at the "big" hill. So the next winter our parents enrolled us in lessons and we went every Saturday. I took to it...

    Tucks Ravine

Nothing in the world takes your breath away more than the 3 hr climb to Tucks in NH. You get to the bowl and its just sheer impressiveness at the size and steepness of the bowl.

Where I live we have had a truly exceptional

The sky is calm. The ground is powder. The trees are whizzing by. In that one moment I am alive. I would rather by doing nothing else. Then being there right at that moment.

I Really Like Both Cross Country And Alpine Skiing

I enjoy beeing outdoor, and I really like skiing during winter. The alpine skiing really gives me some real kicks and challenges, but I just as well enjoy doing long trips in the forests, experinces the quietness and some wild animals.
