Start Trek was and still is my favorite science

fiction show as a child. After they lost some characters it was never the same.

Sad story. About four years ago I bought

Klingon version of Monopoly. I talked my mom into playing it with me once and every since I haven't had anyone to ever play it with. It's actually become a joke asking my mom because I know she will say no. I even resorted to posting a listing on craigslist once asking if...

In a tepid sea of reality shows,

it's what we need now. I remember growing up watching TNG inspiring thoughts on philosophy and science. Today's shows seem to have no substance.

I was just going to put this in poetry,

but I figured I'd share it here since it is my poem dedicated to Leonard Nimoy. May he rest in peace. There was a man He told me to be logical And so I studied There was a man He showed me what it means to be selfless And so I did my best to be like him There was a man he...

i like the old shows, the next gen, and even the controversial enterprise, so who cares if the theme song had lyrics, not that things cant change, why be so critical over a theme song, so the whole show gets bad reviews? i like the new movies coming out, im not really picky, i...

With sadness in my heart I heared the report on

the radio... actor/director Leonard Nimoy, has passed away age 83... What sounded like a report on just another actor passing away meant way mor to us Trekkies or Trekkers as we true fans prefer to be called. We lost a friend. We lost a role model. We lost an insperation in our...

    There are those of us

who vicariously lived in a world where things such as racism, poverty, greed, and hunger didn't exist. We watched as a new world unfolded around us, and new places and things were discovered. Leonard Nimoy played a crucial part in making all of this come to life. He inspired so...

I fell in love with Star Trek

when the original movie came out. I can recall that the line to get in to see it was wrapped around the building. My mother didn't want to go on opening, so we waited a few weeks. I've been a fan ever since.

I grew up with it. I watched TOS

as a kid, when I would stay home sick from school or something. It is such an important show, and I am really thankful for the reboot movies, because I feel like it's getting a new generation into the shows. :)

    Thank-you, Star Trek

I grew up watching Star Trek reruns in the 70s because my mom liked to watch it. As a young woman growing up in the 60s, she developed a crush on Leonard Nimoy.  It therefore became part of our family time, and a treat for my brother and I, to stay up a little bit later Thursday...
