I Love Stargazing

But I live in a big city

so I've never seen a sky full of stars. Even if I go camping it's not far enough away from light pollution to have that moment where you feel overwhelmed by how many stars are in the sky. I think once I have that experience, stargazing will become a serious hobby of mine.

that sky is absolutely my thing. Wish my family were here with me.. It's such a big city and sometimes all i want to do is to go back to where my heart belongs.

    Spring Sky...

Ah, just after leaving my nightly visit to a private fitness facility, I took a quick peak into the sky as I left the building.  As I entered the parking lot, I noticed how clear the sky was so was the constellation Orion.  And with a look toward the west, just a touch away...

    I went to Kiama Beach

for a school camping trip and one night we went to look out at the stars. Being away from the light pollution of heavy urban areas, the beauty was just inspiring! We saw so many constellations, special stars like Sirius and Beetlejuice, a passing satellite and even a shooting...

How Many Stars Can You Count?

Ever since I was little, the night sky has always intrigued me. I always thought "the stars are so far away. I wish I could reach up and touch them". I was so excited about them that I would sing to them, about them. On clear nights I would look up and see millions of them. Every...

    Alone. On the rooftop.

On a cold night. With all the chaos below, I find peace by just looking at the stars above. ✨🌟

    One Star Out Of Billions

While in the country on a clear summer's night I took a moment to look up and saw something that left me breathless. Not a single cloud in the sky stood between me and the rest of the universe. It was as if someone or something had opened my eyes and mind to a world that had...

Wow now that's a nice way to end a weekend.  Just toward the end of this Suday, I pulled out my simple Orion Cassegrain telescope with a large solar filter to gaze at the partial solar eclipe.  Now that was breathtaking...  It just would've been a touch better if I had a beer...

I've had this lust for the night sky ever

since I could remember. It truly amazes me. Living in the city, the stars aren't visible which is a bummer. Don't get me wrong. I love city life and would never move but it's kind of ironic that I have such a love for the stars but can't see them. This could also be the reason...

I have loved ones that live all over the world.

Different states, different countries. Sometimes I feel so very lonely because I miss them and long for them and so I begin to cry. When that happens, I look up at the night sky. I find Orion's Belt (the three stars in a straight line) and I take great comfort in thinking that I...
