When visiting Western Samoa (now Samoa) some years ago, we hired a 4WD to travel the hinterland. A sticker on the driver's door amused us so much that we had to photograph it. It may have dented confidence, if we hadn't laughed so hard. The sticker read as follows (sic):

WARNING: This is a multipurpose vehicle which will handle and maneuver differently from ordinary passenger cars in conditions which may occur on streets and highways and off road. As with other vehicles of this type, if you make sharp turns or abrupt maneuvers, the vehicle may rollover or go out of control and crash. You should read guidelines and instructions in the owners manual, and WEAR YOUR SEATBELT AT ALL TIME."

The facts that Samoa had no highways, the rented vehicle had no handbook, and was not fitted with seatbelts, made the whole thing seem quite funny. Incidentally, we didn't tip it over in the 2 weeks we had it.
